The house is 5 minutes on foot from the beautiful beach of Jabaquara, 15 minutes from the historical center of Paraty and near the neighborhood little market. The street is not paved, but it is easy to access, just 100 meters from the main street. Only if it rains a lot, there could be some mud.
My house has been furnished with recycled elements, it is simple but really cozy! It has two floors, a large one with kitchen, living, a little bathroom and a backyard.
The room is upstairs: it has a double bed with mosquito net, a funny closet (an old fridge that I have arranged!) and shelves. It has a balcony too, to the backyard, and close to palms and a lot of vegetation. The bathroom is private, inside the room.
The room is sunny, comfortable and very quiet. I provide sheets, towels and blankets or a fan if necessary.
All guests have access to a complete kitchen and the others house equipments: fridge, blender, toaster and washing machine. I am no longer having breakfast included on the price since I am having more affordable daily prices.
Jabaquara is a beach of calm waters where you can find a lot of cool bars and restaurants and take a drink looking at the wonderful view of the bay. There’s also a lot of activities to do, as kayak tours, stand-up paddle, boat tours and why not, you can relax taking a massage on the beach, or take care of your skin using the natural mud near the mangroves!
It is safe and quiet also to come back in the night. During the day and until 8pm, there’s a bus (Circular) with scheduled time that takes you to the center and the bus station, but you can easily reach the main places of the city on foot in 15-20 minutes.
The difference of your stay in Jabaquara is that you are near nature, mountains in one side, the sea on the other side, and the rainforest around. I am sure that you will enjoy to stay in a little village inside the city.
Interaction with guests
One of the reasons why I use Airbnb is to meet travellers and share my way of life with people from all over the world. When it is possible, I invite our guests to join me in my activities and go out with me to discover not only touristic places.
I am used to travelling a lot and I like to receive guests in my house, so I trust that everyone knows how to respect basical rules of convivence as for example: cleaness of common areas, silence and privacy if necessary.
Originally born in Uruguay, lived in Spain, Argentina and now in Brasil, it is fair to say that I love to travel, meeting people from different cultures and countries and share my daily life in a magic town as Paraty is.
I used to live here with my ex girlfriend Giulia with whom we originally rented the house but now we separated and she went back to Italy.
I believe that living near the nature and the sea, as to have the opportunity to look at the bay in moonlight it is a unique experience.
I am an IT consultant but what I really like to do is to play drums! I am totally involved with latin american popular culture. I play Candombe (afro-uruguayan rhythm) , Maracatu (afro-brazilian popular rhythm from Recife, Pernambuco) and Tambor de Crioula (afro-brazilian popular rhythm from São Luis de Maranhão)
I used to participate in a little cultural space where various activities were carried out, as percussion and language lessons, yoga and a shared digital desktop with internet access. The cultural space is paused for the moment but we plan to have another one soon in the near future.
