My son introduced me to this site as he also has the travel bug. I am a late starter but in the past 10 years I have made up for lost time. The furthest I have driven was to Lapland in Northern Sweden, which was amazing. I have travelled to Norway, Finland, France, Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, Morocco and Las Vegas among other places and next I want to visit Iceland in the hope of seeing the beautiful Northern lights, also Budapest. I have so many countries to visit on my bucket list. I love to see the sights, meet new people, experience the cultures and taste the food of all countries. I don't have a favourite, they are all beautiful and interesting in their own way. I like to try and ensure I learn the basics of the language, even if it may only be please and thankyous!!
I also enjoy going to the theatre, (recently saw the 'Full monty' at the Mayflower Theatre in Southampton, now its one of my favourites) listening to music, eating out and spending as much time as possible with my two granddaughters, who have brought me so much happiness.
I am very clean and tidy, respectful of peoples homes and I feel I am a perfect guest to have. I would also want you to enjoy your stay in Southampton to the max. I will do all I can to ensure you enjoy your stay in my home.
My life motto? To treat others the way I like to be treated.
I hope we get to meet some day. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Enjoy the rest of your day.
I am loving hosting. I have met some of the nicest people and listening to their stories of their countries and places they have travelled, I am learning so much. One problem! I am usually quite sad when they leave!
