A rustic and pet-friendly place in the middle of Ireland. Has peacocks running loose, which have their advantages and disadvantages.

Response from Diana:
Dear Gum I am sorry that the peacocks were a problem for you. It is a shame that it seems to have spoiled your holiday with us. As I explained they do normally keep to the back of the property where we feed them. For future reference, when you leave a property and have damaged something it is good to mention it so we can fix it before the next guests. I am referring to the broken bathroom door handle. Thankyou, Diana

Lovely, secluded cottage on an estate. Privacy and beautiful landscapes. Would recommend to all my family and friends.

This is a place of peace and tranquility. We drove in and it's covered in woodland and like entering the secret garden. Then a French style courtyard opens up. The courtyard is dog friendly and child safe so perfect for us! The coach house accommodation is wonderfully laid out and imaginatively done. Every bedroom has an en-suite with a touch of luxury. The kitchen is well equipped and child proof which is a huge plus for the mum of a busy toddler. Diana and Dan give you privacy as well as being really welcoming and friendly. This is a period property with original features and one off pieces of furniture, so you're transported to another world. The area has all you can wish for, with the Loch only a km or 2 from the lane and castles everywhere. We loved Birr Castle, Leap Castle and Kinnity Castle with its' Dungeon restaurant. The Silvermine Hills are so close and the views are awesome. Can't wait to return for cycling and hiking ... so much to explore! Serena, baby Oscar and nanna Carole :)

We stayed four nights at the Coachman cottage and we were happy to discover the lovely remote location. The cottage is ideal if you are looking for an escape in the middle of the nature, twenty minutes gently walk to the lake. In the cottage itself the wifi is very weak but we didn't mind as we looked for some digital detox, you will get a lovely surprise when you'll see Diana's animals. Bear in mind that the place is self-catering with it's own house rules and don't forget to bring your tea and coffee.

This is just one of those you only discover becauses sites like airbnb exists. This could easily a place where world's best writers would withdraw themselves to finish there long expected bestseller. The place is romantic and has all the charm you could be looking for. The bath en beds are great, as well as the hospitality of Diana. A must be place for us.

Diana was the perfect host. Confusion with us checking in and Diana was very gracious about it. We can't thank Diana enough for opening her space to us. Beautiful, comfortable home. Highly recommend this country cottage. We can't wait to go back.

We loved our stay in the Coachmans Cottage. Everything was as good as we expected or better. The location was very centrally located to many great little towns, but is a bit of a drive to some of the bigger sites, like the Cliffs of Moher. But all in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and found ourselves wishing we had more time to spend in the cozy cottage. To top it all off, Dan and Diana are fantastic hosts as well!
