Our flat is located 7 minutes walk from the Boudhanath Stupa, a world heritage site. Surrounded by Buddhist monasteries we are off the main roads. Beautiful and spacious, our flat will make you feel at home in Kathmandu.

The space

We have striven to make our two stories flat a welcoming, comfortable and cozy space. Not only it is tastefully decorated, but we also went for the best quality when choosing the mattresses and the rest of the furniture.

Our double rooms have two single beds that fit together making a king size bed (no gaps in between!). Let us know if you prefer a room with the beds arranged as two singles.

Our flat is in a safe and modern building built by a Japanese company. After the earthquakes last year the house didn't get a single crack.

Both bathrooms have showers and western style toilets. The hot water in the showers is provided by gas geysers.

Guest access

You will get sets of keys to access the flat 24/7.

In the common areas of the building you can enjoy a small garden and, if needed, use a private parking space.

Within our flat you will have full access to two terraces. A sunny one on the sunset side and the roof top with a small roofing over the hammock and almost 360 view. Also several rooms have small balconies attached.

Interaction with guests

We will be out of town in the summer, but our dear and reliable Nepali housekeeper Prativa will welcome you in the house.

She works from Sunday to Friday from 9:30 to 17:00 and will be happy to keep the house clean for you, make your laundry, do the dish washing and, if you like, shop and cook for you.

Prativa is a fantastic vegetarian cook. Her momos are delicious! If you want her to make dinner for you, she will need notice and shopping money one day in advance and, given the size of the house, she cannot cook everyday.

If you want more privacy, we can arrange different working hours for Prativa.

House Rules

You are welcome to feel at home!

We live in this wonderful flat most of the year and we request you to take care of our place as your own.

When entering the house, please follow the Nepali custom and leave your shoes in the shelf at the entrance. Feel free to use the slippers provided.

Unfortunately we cannot allow pets in the flat because we are allergic.

Smoking is allowed only on the terraces.

Our battery system provides electricity 24/7 for all lights and most of the sockets of the house. During the power cuts the fridge and water purification system keep working and you can turn on the lights, use the toaster, the fans, your laptop, the wifi and charge your devices without problems.

Be aware that during the power cuts you must not use heavy power consuming devices such as hair dryer, the wash machine, vacuum cleaner, electric oven and water cooker, otherwise the battery will overload and shut down.

Nepalis go to bed early. If you happen to come late home please be mindful and silent in the corridor and staircase.

We wish you a pleasant stay in our home! Mi casa es tu casa! :-)
