You’ll have the cottage to yourself.
Cosy, character cottage in a pretty valley, with big, terraced garden overlooking the river. Red kites and buzzards are regular visitors, sometimes herons . Kayaking nearby, lovely walks. Just 25 minutes drive from the beautiful Ceredigion coast.
Covid Update: I wish to assure you that there will be a minimum of 4 days between guests. The cottage will be cleaned 1 day after guests leave and then there will be 3 clear days before further guests arrive. Extra disinfecting with an alcohol spray.

The space
The cottage dates from the mid eighteen hundreds and is very quirky with bendy walls and a low ceiling in the kitchen. There's a lounge which is high beamed with a lovely wood stove set in an impressive hearth and it heats the house and hot water. The lounge and kitchen are open plan. In the kitchen there's an old dining table and an adjoining pantry. You can of course use and enjoy the private garden that has fantastic views from the top terrace. The attic bedrooms have their own staircase. Each has a comfortable double bed and adequate storage, electric kettle & mugs.

Guest access
You will have use of most of the cottage (two rooms are not accessible to guests) to include the open plan kitchen/diner and lounge, bathroom and two double bedrooms up the same staircase. The bathroom has a bath and a shower that works off the stove, and an electric shower for when the stove has not been running. You can of course use and enjoy the large terraced garden. There is parking in front of the cottage in the private drive.

Location

Tre-groes, United Kingdom

Set in the beautiful Cerdyn valley in rural Ceredigion, Tregroes has a chapel and old school where community activities often take place, and is home to the famous and delicious Tregroes waffles -- they are now made in Llandysul. This little town is just 2 miles away and a nice walk or cycle. It has basic facilities (Spar, Boots, small supermarket with PO, & more) and a Chinese and an Indian takeaway, pizza restaurant and chip shop, a typical Welsh cafe and an Italian deli/cafe. There are 3 pubs, a harp factory, a small art and community centre that sometimes hosts great events or exhibitions. Llandysul is on the River Teifi and there is an international kayaking centre where you can learn to kayakThe centre also offers coasteering and other activities. There is a nice park with footpath by the river.
The cottage is a 25 minute drive to the nearest seaside town and beach of New Quay (boat and dolphin watching trips, watersports centre, sandy beaches) and there are many other beautiful seaside villages and beaches all within 30 minutes drive of here. The Ceredigion coastal path provides 60 miles of walking and the mountains are not far away either, beyond Tregaron. This is a Welsh speaking area but most people speak English.

I love sailing my dinghy, being in, on or by the sea, traveling, walking, making music, yoga, badminton, reading, good conversation. I'm a vegetarian and love good food and a glass of wine. And I love where and how I live. Life motto?---Life be in it! I'm friendly and good natured. I look forward to welcoming you to my home :0).
