The space

Enjoy a family friendly (and family) home in the heard of the historic Georgian New Town, furnished with classic antiques. We are within easy walking distance of all the main museums, galleries and historic sites, as well as most Festival and Fringe venues. The area is packed with opportunities to eat and enjoy yourself.

This is a twin bedded room on the second (U.S. 3rd) floor, with its own private ensuite shower and fantastic views over the Firth of Forth.

We hope to offer guests a speial but domestic atmosphere surrounded by the very special aura of the house, set off by its original features. Cultural and other tips are our speciality!

Our German style breakfast, with home made jams and bread will set you up well for a day taking in the sights.

For those with an interest in pieces-of-eight, and yo-ho-ho and a bottle of rum, a very special treat lies in store .....

John is an amazing host - always attentive and kind. Living in RL Stevenson’s house was an added privilege. Breakfast was a great start to long days of sightseeing and, getting home to a quiet, amicable place was a pleasure.

A great find with fantastic hosts. Lovely views and so central for sightseeing and shopping. We were dropping off child at University and were pleasantly surprised by the outstanding hospitality of the family. It's like staying with fun and generous friends.
