This comfortable, semi-detached house is in a peaceful location in the village of Brora. It's close to the beach, the golf course, and the harbour. The house is modest but well-equipped and makes a great base for exploring the area.

The space

This is a pleasant, comfortable house set in a large garden.

Guest access

The house and garden are yours to use.

Interaction with guests

As we live a few miles away, we'll usually leave you the key so you can arrive at your own convenience. We're around though and happy to advise on good things to see and do and help with any queries.

Other things to note

Mobile phone signal in the area is patchy and mobile data is poor, so you might want to note address details etc before you set off. The house has wifi!

Great place, just like it seems in the listing. Clean and comfortable, great location. We loved the ginger biscuits Becky left us!

We enjoyed our stay in Brora at Becky's place. Clean and spacious, kitchen had everything we needed, good wifi and easy clear communication with host. Would recommend

Becky's place was modest but light filled, warm and spacious. It has only just been converted into a holiday home and the internet wasn't working when I got there. Unfortunately I needed internet for my trip so had to cancel and Becky gave me a refund. Becky and her family were overall pretty accommodating and helpful.

We had a lovely few days at Becky's. the location is great and we were able to see a large part of this part of Scotland. 2 days we drove up to the North coast and another day we went out to the West. We also had a lovely trip to Culloden and to Dornoch. Brora is right by the A9 so access around the area is fast. The house had all we needed and was warm and cosy. We were able to cook our evening meals easily and slept well. Thank you Becky for a lovely house.

Lovely semi-bungalow with lots of space for up to four adults, but we could imagine toddlers being comfortable as well in travel beds. Nice and close to the centre and pleasant street leading to the golf club and harbour. The hosts left plenty of breakfast food as a welcome. Boiler kept the place nice and warm.

My second stay at Becky's - and I'm sure it won't be the last. Great place and a helpful and friendly host.

Instant Home from Home. Becky's place is warm, welcoming, easy to find, plenty of parking and beautifully clean and comfy. You'll find everything you need plus some extra touches you might not expect, that put a smile on my face after a long drive! It's a great and really practical base for exploring - washing machine and a drying cupboard might not be glamorous ponts to mention but if you're in the Highlands to get out and about, you'll appreciate this as much as I did. Don't underestimate how easy it is to get to the beach from Becky's. I didn't really realise until I arrived but, three minutes round the corner and you have miles of beach to explore - great if you're a runner! Finally, Becky was super helpful. Kept in touch and saved the day when, two days after leaving my plans changed and I needed somewhere to stay - I headed straight back to Brora so this review is based on two stays in the space of a week!

Hello! We're friendly, outgoing and laid-back people who like meeting new folk and hearing about other places as well as helping visitors to discover the best places in this lovely part of Scotland.

We have lived here since 2001 when we took over the running of the traditional water-powered mill. My husband Bob, a New Zealander, is the miller. I work part-time in a nature conservation organisation, promoting nature-based tourism.

We both enjoy outdoor sports: Bob surfs a bit and enjoys the sea and I enjoy hill-walking, sailing and cycling. We have a productive garden and polytunnel and grow our own fruit and veg (for some of the year at least). We have 2 small children, so we also know a bit about playparks!
