Easy going travelers can stay in an East Nashville cozy, historic potters home on a budget. With a separate entry and a nifty pull-out couch with a fluffy, luxe foam topper.
If needed, there are two more rooms available. To book more rooms, ask for more details.
The home is a cozy, 1928 brick craftsman bungalow with modern, craftsman furnishings. I live on-site and have pets.
This room is an addition, built as a mother-in-law room/ entry. I've used the space as best I know how, creating a small room to accommodate the easy going guest(s) who wants someplace easy and affordable to stay.
I've put a pullout couch in, but chose a sleeper so I can have guests anytime and they'll reel welcome and have enough room. I've decided I'd like to open this to more than just friends and pass on a great, approachable space to AirBNB guests as well.
Each room is designed and curated to be its own cozy space, full of personality, comfort, and beautiful details to be enjoyed.
The house may look small, but wraps around the back, with several entries, an extended upstairs / raised roof, and a back entry that doubles as a great guest room.
As a graphic designer and potter, I create much of the spaces to be functional, beautiful and well-crafted for their purpose. My dishes, my art, my linens and bedding all are hand made, picked, or put together to be beautiful and functional.
Guests can drink out of handmade ceramic mugs, and enjoy the space of someone who cares about all the details that make a great personal experience.
Coffee (Keurig) and filtered water are always available. The timer is automatically set to turn on in the morning; power button is on the back, lower right corner.
TOWELS + BASIC TOILETRIES
Clean, white, fluffy large towels are available. Since shampoo is such a personal choice, I ask that guests be sure to take care of this detail.
There is a walgreens around the corner open until 10pm and a 24-7 Kroger, so I don't purchase spare toothbrushes or items, as you can get preferred items exceptionally close 24-7.
I have a large bottle of water for guests available to drink during their stay, more is in the Brita jug in the kitchen as well.
The patio is available to for guests to sit and enjoy; cushions are kept in the brown plastic chest, please place back when done.
Both restrooms are technically shared, so please be considerate. The upstairs Roomate leaves by 4:30am each day, while I use the downstairs BR late at night and in the morning also.
In addition to the upstairs bed/ bedroom, There is also a pull out bed in the back room available with a comfortable foam topper added.
If you have several people joining, I have three air mattress available. I recommend bringing your own pillow if this is the case.
Interaction with guests
I work from home, so I'm available often for questions, care, and area information.
I am a graphic designer and local potter. So, you can expect to know I'm up late at night throwing pottery in the basement, walking the dog outside in the morning, and working from the home office during the day.
I love to meet new friends, so you're always welcome to strike up a conversation if it's clear I'm not working.
Other things to note
There is a Kroger (grocery store), Walgreens, gas station, local pizza, post office, excellent wine and liquor store, convenient store, and Mexican restaurant all within one block/ walking distance.
Within short drives are other excellent local restaurants, artisan ice cream (jeni's), coffee shops, great local pubs, bars and music venues.
Please leave everything as you found it upon arrival.
This is a discrimination-free home.
NO religious sexual, gender, physical, differentially-enabled/ handicapped, ethnic, financial, or other any other discrimination can be expected NOR is tolerated in any shape or form.
Absolutely no smoking ever in or outside the home. Security deposit may be withheld for smoking.
Please leave towels in the bathroom for cleanup.
Please love and respect my pets--3 precious, sweet kitties and 1 lovable husky pup.
If you're ever unsure if something is available, please ask.
I prefer guests not cook unless necessary, simply ask if so.
If you break it, buy it. Open it, close it. Get it wet, dry it off. If you make a mess, clean it up. This applies for bedding, sheets, stains, and so on and so forth too. As a host I hope I won't have to ask you to replace items but sometimes accidents happen.
I reserve the right to add a money request via AirBNB's resolution center for items missing, broken, stained, or otherwise requiring new purchase or extra care beyond normal cleaning.
As a host, neither I nor AirBNB am responsible for items left, lost, or otherwise forgotten.

I'm a graphic designer and potter. My home is my workspace, so it's important for it to be inspired and creative, as well as clean! I'm always working on my home, baking, gardening outside or throwing pots in the basement pottery studio.
I've lived in Nashville for 11 years, and know all the great places to go—and love my community, neighborhood and city.
I have three fantastic kitties and a sweet pup. My pets are so incredibly sweet and loving. They'll melt your heart and become your sweet friends while you stay. We love inviting folks into our home and hosting great Nashville experiences. I treat everyone like they're an out-of-town family friend that's popping through.
I'm the owner of Bungalow Potter, an online pottery shop and basement pottery studio. I make dinnerware, bakeware, serveware, and tile. Your rooms are named as such as you're staying at Bungalow Potter's! You'll be drinking out of mugs I've made and be surrounded by other pieces while you enjoy my warm, cozy, eclectic home.
