The space

Charming and friendly apartment in the center of Reykjavík, across the street from the National Museum and the University of Iceland. A short scenic walk by the Reykjavík Central Pond brings you to Art Museums, galleries, the National Theater, the Music Hall and loads of cafes, bars, clubs and shopping.
The main Bus Terminal where you can board tours to all tourist destinations is withing walking distance and local bus lines stop right outside the door.
The fully furnished apartment has 3 bedrooms that sleep up to 6 people. There is a double bed, 2 individual beds and a sofabed that folds out. Minimum stay is 3 nights.
It is quite easy to take the Flybus from the international airport in Keflavík to the main Bus Terminal in Reykjavík which is in walking distance from the apartment through "Hljómskálagarður" the downtown Park by the lake/pond "Tjörnin". I will be more than happy to arrange, given your arrival time, that someone will meet you at the Bus Terminal and escort you to the apartment.

Christine was awesome! Unfortunately, we didn't get to meet due to conflicting schedule, but she made sure we got into the apartment with ease. She even allowed us to do an early check in as we'd landed very early in the morning that day. She was very accommodating. Our visit to Reykjavik was for a friend's wedding, so we came home late most of the nights. We were very glad that Christine had provided some frozen food for her guests! Figuring out how the stove works at 2 in the morning was pretty hilarious though. We'd also made a lot of jokes with the smell of the geothermal water system. And no when you wash your clothes in the washer, your clothes will not smell like rotten eggs! Also, we heard it's okay to drink water from the tap, but make sure it's the cold water! It's a really nice walk to downtown from her place. It takes about just 10mins of a walk. And parking was really easy, both times we parked right in front of the apartment. I'm glad that I'd found this apartment for such a decent price for the 5 of us. Thanks Christine!

Such a great place to stay, close to centre of Reykavik. We had 6 of us there and it was spacious and clean. Thanks Christine for recommendations and clear instructions.

Christine is a very nice host. Communication with her is super easy. She gives lots of useful information about getting around in the city. Her place is very centrally located, close to downtown and public transportation. However, Christine's place looks much nicer on the photos than in reality :-). The apartment is half underground and right at the corner of two roads, one of which is very busy. It is too noisy for sleeping at night. The noise could act as white noise though, if one likes that. The third room, which is not shown in the photos, is the least comfortable of all rooms, mostly because the heating is irregular and one cannot adjust it. And the pull-out couch bed is a bit unstable in this room.

Christine's place was perfect. Very homely and fantastic location. Christine was very helpful in letting us know good places to purchase food at a reasonable price and left us some nice food for our arrival. The beds were very comfy too :) I would definitely recommend Christine's place and would defiantly stay here again if I visit Iceland.

Excellent location - within walking distance of reykjavik downtown area. Blackout shades for the summer time were really nice to have - Easy to get a good nights sleep in this home! Christine was wonderful to work with and very accommodating with time of check in and check out.
