Our 30′ Pacific Yurt is a place of tranquility and fun in the round. It’s a perfect for a romantic getaway or family vacation. You have private river access located next to the Strawhouse Cafe’ where you can swim, fish or relax, and there are beautiful hiking areas nearby.

The Yurt's kitchen is outfitted with a small fridge, a toaster oven, and a microwave. You also have access to a charcoal BBQ. It is located on the park side, not the river side, but you do have private river access.

The space
Our 30′ Pacific Yurt is a place of tranquility and fun in the round. The clawfoot tub invites you to relax and embrace the space. The loft is an intimate place to read, relax, or just watch the stars at night. The yurt is outfitted with bamboo flooring, heating and air conditioning, an electric fireplace in the bedroom area, microwave oven, small refrigerator, coffee pot, toaster oven, induction plate, clawfoot tub and shower, a queen bed downstairs and one in the loft, a sleeping ottoman, and a large deck area. You have private river access a short walk away located next to the Strawhouse Cafe’. The yurt does get some highway traffic noise, so if you are sensitive to that, this might not be the best fit for you. There is a white noise sound machine by your bedside to help with this if you need it.

Self check-in instructions will be sent prior to arrival.

Other things to note
Welcome! Thank you for making your reservation with us! We are looking forward to your stay with us. Here are a few tips that will help your arrival with us go smooth.

Please do not rely on Google Maps, as it does not always send you in the right direction. The following are detailed driving directions to Strawhouse Resorts and our policies:

From Redding, CA – Interstate 5:
Take Exit CA-44W/299W towards Eureka and Weaverville. You will stay on Hwy 299W until you reach Strawhouse Resorts. We are 20 miles west of Weaverville (about a 30 minutes drive) and 12 miles west of Junction City in a little town called Big Flat. You will check in at the Strawhouse Café, which is a big yellow building on the left.

My husband and I own a small resort in Northern California. We roast organic coffee and love organic foods. We are vegetarians and adore the water (ocean and rivers best). We hope our guests feel like they are part of the family by the time they leave.
