When you get off the boat which takes you to the island of Eugenia's home, you are welcomed with a sign that says 'welcome to the Island of Silence', and it truly is! The home itself is magical, full of history and old world beauty. Eugenia was a wonderful hostess, meeting us on our arrival and answering all of our many questions. It is an effort to get to the island but so well worth it! We rented paddle boards and Eugenia's boat and enjoyed a few days of pure quiet bliss in an absolutely gorgeous landscape. If you have the opportunity to visit this place, don't hesitate, it is truly wonderful.

This old house is full of history and character. A once in a lifetime experience to stay on an island in the middle of a lake. Getting to and from the island every day is an unforgettable experience, and you feel so privileged to stay in your own island villa. Would stay here again.

Eugenia was a delight. We enjoyed her home and it was a wonderful place for family memories to be made. Renting her boat is a must as there is only one restaurant and it was closed for dinner until start of summer season. We knew this and it was no problem. Lunch is magnificent at the restaurant. The quiet, views, gardens and areas for outside time are fantastic. The home is well suited for an island home! We will be back!

A true gem... Located in the heart of this small island Eugenia's home helps transport you back in time. The house is vast and full of character but very tranquil once the tourists return to the mainland in the evening. Eugenia is also a wealth of information and very helpful... Top tip: she has a boat which can be helpful if you miss the last ferry. Contact Eugenia early for tips regarding parking etc.
