A lovely location- quiet, secluded, and comfy with grand gardens and walks, near amazing bush (with bats!) and close enough to drive to the Hawkes Bay Markets. Clean, well appointed, with many amenities- we would gladly stay here agaiin.

What a wonderful Magical place that ensures you can do nothing but escape and wind down. Jane and Larry were fantastic hosts and made us feel like visiting family instead of paying guests. The gardens, bridges to secret pathways , ducks and of course Gus the dog , all added to the warmth and wonder of this place. If you stay here , don't tell anyone how lovely it is. Let's keep this gem quiet !

We arrived in the dark but the guidance provided by Jane regarding finding the premise was very useful. We found we did not have cell phone coverage at the property but thankfully Jane and Larry had been keeping an eye out for us and were there promptly to settle us in. Jane had lit the fire so we were welcomed with a warm, cozy cottage. The beds were very comfortable with high quality linen. Breakfast provided included croissants, vogel toast and a range of spreads, homemade muesli, bacon, eggs, fresh fruit and orange juice. More than enough for us all :). Jane and Larry popped in the next day to make sure that we were all settled. The bush walk, swing bridge, sheep and ability to feed the ducks in the pond were an added plus which our family of all ages very much enjoyed. Our family loved our stay and only wished it was for longer - so they all unanimously agreed that we'd be back. Thank you for a wonderful place to get away to - private, peaceful and a lovely slice of New Zealand countryside :). Curling up in front of the fire was bliss.
