Be aware that this "Guesthouse" is downstairs from the main house, and you will share a porch and grill with the upstairs folks, who can have up to 18 people including small children. Also be aware that this is not riverfront property, but across the road from the river. Many things in the description of this property are misleading. It was comfortable for 8 adults and we had everything that we needed as far as kitchen and bathroom amenities once we arrived.

Definitely not a house we would stay at again. Friendly service but way to many issues for the amount you are paying to stay in a hideaway shack. We have stayed in many houses in New Add to dictionary and this was by far the worst and couldn't wait to get back home. Wi-Fi was spotty and the beds were the most uncomfortable beds we have ever tried to sleep on. The whole family was miserable.

We had a wonderful time at the Cliffside Guest House! It was a great location for 10 friends to get together and float the river. There was enough bedding/towels to go around for everyone. Kara was very nice and quickly responsive to any of our questions! I would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking to float the river with a group of friends.

This was a great location. Kara and Jessica were very nice and answered any questions the same day. The house was nice and the beds were comfy. Great patio perfect for grilling! Don’t over stuff the fridge with food or it will have trouble keeping your food cool. In fact, we lost some meat because we didn’t realize it soon enough. The rest of the meat we put in coolers on ice. The fridge “caught up” overnight – so we will know better next time. Linens and towels were provided. We were a group of 11 which was perfect for this size space. A few things you should know that I did not realize - the guest house is not separate from the main house. It’s not ideal for families with kids or light sleepers because you might get a party bunch above you. Luckily, I’m a heavy sleeper, but the rest of my group had trouble sleeping. I did not complain to Kara because I didn't want to create any drama. I did complain to the people above a few times, but we also had to realize it’s the river where party people come to do what they do best :-) The grill is charcoal so don’t forget to bring some if you plan to grill. You should also bring your own toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags. Next year we will try to get the top floor (main house) instead of the one below. Either way, you will have a great time in this house. The river is right across the road on the chute, so you can walk right down to get in the water. It really is a great location - we will be back!

The guest house was awesome! I was a little hesitant since it was my first time using AirBNB but Kara made the experience wonderful. The renovated guest house was gorgeous inside with all the current amenities. The location was great right along the Guadalupe River and easy access to the river. Everybody in the group thoroughly enjoyed the stay there and look forward to making this an annual trip and we will not hesitate to book this home again!
