A great 2 bedroomed cottage. Very close to the city and all attractions, the perfect base from which to explore Cape Town.

The space

The house is a newly renovated cape dutch style 2 bedroom cottage. Opening the red door leads you into the passageway with 2 large bedrooms on either side. The main bedroom has a Queens size bed with extra length.
The 2nd bedroom has built in cupboards and a queen size bed.

This leads into the lounge area where you will find a LED TV.

The lounge flows into the Kitchen area which is kitted out with all appliances you would need whilst on holiday including a dishwasher cause lets face it, who likes washing dishes.

The bathroom comes with an amazing shower and bath.

Large back area for chilling , there is also a charcoal or wood barbecue that guests can make use of. There is a small garden with some nice herbs and fruit to compliment your masterchef skills, rosemary, curry leaves, chillies, limes and pomegranates to name a few.

Note: That due to level 5 water restrictions in Cape Town the Jacuzzi has been emptied and not in use.

Security in Walmer Estate and South Africa
We have burglar bars on all windows and security gates on all doors. In my 37 years here, I have never had a burglary at my home.
When visiting South Africa, always be aware of your surroundings and the people in your vicinity.

Cars park in the street, so you guessed it, there is no off street parking or garage. Just dont leave your brand new apple IPAD laying in full view of prying eyes and you will be fine.

We were for a weekend to Cape Town and the residence was perfect. Firstly the comunication with Shadley was really quick and easy, secondly the house is new, clean, beautiful and full equiped with all type of devices to be like at home. The prize wasn't expensive and the house is situated close to the centre village. I can describe our stay in two words: Really awesome! I would like to live there forever. Thanks Shadley

Shadley is definitely a super host. The place was just like it was advertised and what we expected. There was fresh fruit as complementary, as well as wine, milk , bottled water and juice stocked in the fridge, which most places do not provide. Shadley was very accommodating and made sure we had the perfect stay. Overall, very welcoming and hospitable!

Shadley was very welcoming! He allowed us an early check-in as our flight arrived mid-morning. He had a bottle of wine, chocolate and fruit out on the table for us. He made sure we knew how to use everything in the house- the barbeque, induction stove, cable TV, and security system. When we mentioned that we were going to do some grocery shopping he offered to drive us to the store and waited while we shopped. He then drove us even further just so we could get some beer! Along the way he explained more about the neigbourhood and answered our questions about getting around the area. When he dropped us back at the house, we asked if there was a deck of cards and so he went to a store and dropped some off later that day! Throughout or trip, Shadley was easily accessible by (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) and even messaged from time to time to see if we were enjoying our stay. The highlight of the home was the back patio with the barbeque, the two spaces for sitting either in the shade or in the sun, and the jacuzzi. The garden was beautiful as well! The home is in a good location for exploring the area surrounding Cape Town if you have your own vehicle to get to Table Mountain, Lion's Head, Camps Bay and Hout Bay, etc. and for day trips outside the city such as to wineries, Boulders Beach and Cape Point. Walmers Estate a quiet residential neighbourhood a bit away from where things are happening in the city, so make sure you're comfortable with using Uber.
