Nice, proper& quite. Definitely value for money. If you have a car you might have some issues finding parking space but this is mostly because of the location's traffic. Nevertheless, for someone who has limited budget its the best choice.

Very nice place. 15 m walk from center of the city. No parking problems. Fixable with times of check-in and check out.

Generally speaking it was a good place to stay.. Sometimes had a weird smell that i think it was coming from the toilet. The price compared to the hotels around was super nice..what i mean is that the place is really value for money for someone that wants to enjoy the city or is travelling for business around Heraclion and won't really look for hotel facilities and extras. We had clean sheets and towels and Eleni (theocharis' wife) was very kind and helped us with anything we wanted.. Highly recommended.

We very much appreciated the owner’s willingness to let us use the apartment early in the morning upon arrival and again in the afternoon upon departure. Thank you. We found the apartment as described. It was spacious enough, clean and fresh smelling, the bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked well. Based on our experiences (not with AirBnB) in similar rentals, we were hoping for the following: The owner’s representative to meet us at the apartment at agreed upon time. We had to make a call and wait with the luggage in front of the building for 20 minutes before the owner’s rep showed up. Luckily we just got a Greek sim card the day before in Athens, otherwise we would not have been able to make a call. The owner’s representative was charming and friendly, but unfamiliar with the neighbourhood and thus unable to answer any questions about it (restaurants, laundry, places to buy groceries (except a supermarket we did not end up using)), unfamiliar with the public transportation (she drives) and the only thing we got from her was an out of date map of Heraklion where the owner ticked some interesting locations and some suggestion of places to visit outside of the town (but no map). The apartment contained a large number of mosquitoes which bit my wife all over her face and arms and I too got number of bites. We did not encounter any mosquitoes during our stay outside the apartment. Bathroom was small and shower curtains wrapped around whenever one of us took a shower. Better design (weighted curtains, for example) would have reduced the problem. The soap dispenser in the shower and the toilet role holder were inconveniently placed, resulting in being knocked out repeatedly. One of the soap dispensers leaked (dripped) , creating a flood on the floor. The internet worked intermittently and slowly on any one of our devices. The chairs were not comfortable to sit on for any length of time. They were OK to have a quick meal on them. Small cushions would have helped. Having a knife long enough to cut a loaf of bread and a bowl suited to mix salad for 2 persons would have been nice. The hall of the apartment was habitually dirty with paper and other dirt strewn all over the floor. To our best knowledge, the hall was cleaned once during our 10 day stay.
