This place was perfect for our group of 5. The pound cake, fruit, and coffee provided was such a thoughtful touch. Beth was easy to communicate with and made our weekend trip so easy! Would recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing weekend.

The house was had everything we needed and then some. Thank you, Beth and Gene, for the pound cake in the 'fridge, bananas, and tea and coffee. We needed a private place for my husband and his musical partners to practice before an performance without disturbing others (or being disturbed by others). The house was just as described. The window AC units worked fine to cool the bedrooms. The off street parking in the back worked well for our two cars. Beth was very responsive about answering questions. Printed instructions about procedures were posted in the kitchen. Lots of informational materials (restaurant suggestions, menus, and tourist brochures) and historical books on the town and area were available for those new to Staunton. It was so much better than staying in a motel or hotel. We would certainly recommend "Lake View Place" for anyone needing a small home for a stay in this area.

This place is just about perfect. If you liked your grandmother's house, you're going to love this. It's right across from a wonderful park, the house is equipped with everything anyone could want for a comfortable stay, and Gene and Beth are delightful hosts. I'm not a fan of stairs, so it was great to have a downstairs bedroom and bathroom. My husband and daughter stayed in the two bedrooms upstairs. It's an easy drive into town, and you could walk to the library. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a cozy comfortable place to stay in beautiful Staunton.

Beth and Eugene were wonderful. Beth greeted us and the home was so charming. Beth made us pound cake that was gobbled up immediately. We spent Sat morning downtown in Staunton shopping and enjoying this beautiful historical town. Beth was easy to get in touch with and had a wealth of information of places to eat and things to do. We really enjoyed our stay. Thanks Beth and Eugene.
