Located at 500 meters from the village of Tholaria, the House lies on a mull surrounded by hills. It nests on a land in terraces with its vineyard and vegetable garden. The house is entirely self-sustaining, relying on solar power, winter-rain water storage and traditional farming methods. The dirt path leading to the village is a 7minutes walk and the house can be accessed by car at a low pace.
It's the departing point for many beautiful hicking tracks.

The space

New in 2015: Following feedback from our guests last Summer, all rooms now have effective mosquito nets in the windows. We have also installed a mini-fridge in this double room.

This double room has independent access, an en-suite bathroom and a private balcony with a view on the sea. There is a small fridge in the room.

The cleaning fee includes a full clean of the room at the end of your stay, or once a week, for stays of ten days or more. Additional room service can be added during your stay, at a surcharge.

Breakfast can be added (5€/person), as well as organic meals, concocted with the vegetables from the garden and local products.

The house is animal and child-friendly. Among our permanent residents are a dog, a sheep and many cats.
It is surrounded by a vast garden, with a lot of vegetation, including a big vegetable garden and a pizza oven in the yard.

She picked us up at the port and drive us to the house, showing us around and giving tips to enjoy the beautiful small town on the mountain of Amorgos! Thank you! Thanks to Vendula for receiving us. She came to pick us from the port and made us feel at home. The house she built herself is a little jewel. Wish her a great summer.

Wendula's place is an eco dream. Supreme attention is paid to water consumption and at night beautiful solar powered lamps lit up the small communal patio overlooking the valley: place is magnificent, with breathtaking scenery. In the room where I stayed a beautiful terrace overlooking the island made each morning utterly glorious. Jerry, a most wonderful person and a shepherd by trade, would bring fresh goat milk each morning, which Wendula would turn into fresh cheese. Breakfasts were a baroque feast (remember: they're not included in the price - although I thoroughly recommend them!): fresh vegetables from the garden, luxurious Greek yogurt, honey, cheese...a banquet. Cats and the super-sweet dog Cannella are a lovely permanent feature, together with donkeys, goats and horses surrounding the property and joyously making their presence felt. I shall miss Wendula and Jerry a lot, our conversations on the patio, and the early mornings spent chatting in the beautiful communal kitchen, crammed with Wendula's beautiful paintings. Can't wait to go back!

Our stay at Wendula's was amazing. Everything in the house makes you feel home, the view is breathtaking, the rooms comfortable. The place is oh so quiet, perfect to break our city routine! The house is eco friendly, so you need to be careful about electricity and water but nothing inconvenient at all. Wendula's breakfast is full of great surprises from her garden: homemade tzatziki, tomatoes, stuffed eggplants, bacon, cheese and tasty toasts (secret and incredible receipe!) and so on! More than a breakfast, a real brunch that we enjoyed each morning. Mosquitos are also part of the trip, but Wendula is very careful about it and provides everything you need to ensure your comfort and put the "problem" away. The spirit of Wendula's place is very friendly and welcoming - as she is herself what we can call the perfect host! Passionate by the island she adviced us on what to do in Amargos, what restaurants are good, where are the best beaches to go to. We stayed 2 entire weeks and were really sad to leave this fantastic place! Thank you for everything Wendula, and........See you next summer!!!

We had a wonderfull stay at Amorgos. The house has a beautiful view and the silence, only disturbed by the 'call of the donkey' once in a while, is unique. Due to the warm welcome, the tips and tricks about what to do at Amorgos and the kindness of Gwendula and Carolina we had a wonderful time. They really understand the meaning of a warm welcome and 'making you feel at home'. The room was basic, nice and clean, and the view from our balcony was breathtaking. If you are looking for a place to calm down easily, this is where you should go. Thanx Carolina and Gwendula. We certainly will meet again.

Unique place to relax and feel close to nature. Isolated but at walking distance from the lovely and lively village of Tholaria. Well situated for fantastic walks in the mountain. Wendula made our stay really different thanks to her attention and good tour recommendations.

This place is amazing!!! Wendula, Carolina's mom, was our host and she was incredibly open and welcoming. We immediately felt the warmth of the island and of the bnb. The location is on top of a mountain and the view is just spectacular. You are a little walk to the town and a short drive away from the ocean, but you feel like you're in your own magical haven. Wendula was so generous and lovely, if we return to this island we'd absolutely stay here-- we might even come back just for this bnb! I can't say enough about this place. Thanks Wendula!
