Lovely home, was renovated with love and respect to nature and time.
In the first level there is a living room with stoned sofas ,based on the old pezoula ,and a big wooden table, separate kitchen, and a bathroom. In the second wooden level we kept the small room, where the couple used to sleep, called nifiatiko, from the word nifi, which means bride. Then there is the averto, meaning open, room and a small WC at the wooden balcony. You can enjoy our cozy veranda with the nice view .

The space

It is in the heart of the village, and you have the opportunity to live like locals do. The market is very close. Also you can have coffee , drink or food at the two squares of the village, just a few minutes away. If you like walking you can follow the cobbled beautiful streets, with the unique view .

Guest access

As the streets are very narrow, driving in the village is not recommended. You can leave your car in the entrance of the village and walk in easy way 5 minutes to the house.
You will see people sitting on the pezoulas and if you are lucky you will listen to cantada , people singing during the night around the village.

Interaction with guests

During your trip we will provide the information or help you need. Even if we are not able to be there, we will arrange everything from distance.

Other things to note

Glossa is called the Aegean balcony due to the unique view, but you must have in mind that there are many ups and downs, especially if you like exploring!

We really enjoyed the stay in a very authentic home. We only found the second toilet just before we left! Very cute, upstairs and outside . We loved using the outdoor area for all our meals. Amalia was lovely and helpful right from the start, giving us all the details we needed. Her restaurant recommendations were spot on too. We loved the location; very cute little town with lovely people.

An excellent experience of living in the traditional house of Amalia, very well equipped with a panoramic view of the sea from the terrace. Amalia is a perfect hostess, answers all the questions, organizes a taxi from the port at our arrival. An immersion in Glossa, its streets, its stairs, the paths to the sea, the daily sounds, motorcycles, cats ... maybe one or two chairs on the terrace would be welcome after walking kilometers!

We had a fantastic holiday at Amalia's place - the house is exactly as described and it is indeed a lovely house. Comfortable for a family of 5 we have children aged 15, 13 and 9. The view from the terrace was fantastic which really added to the house. We travelled as a group of two families and stayed in two separate houses in Glossa which worked really well.

We had fantastic holidays in Amalia's lovely home in Glossa. We fell in love with the village and the house the moment we arrived. Amalia was very helpful even before our departure. She recommended a transportation from Athens to Glossa and arranged a taxi for us from the port of Loutraki. Maria, her friend who gave us the key, was also very helpful and friendly. She runs a local bar 2 min walk from the house, (best bar to feel the local vibe!) so we could go see her anytime we needed. She let us use wifi there too. Glossa is a very small village, if you are up to relaxing holidays and love getting to know with local people, you will never regret. I will definitely go back to Glossa and Amalia's house :)

A dream came true: A week in a real Greek stone house :-). Amalia organised a taxi from the port and Lakis welcomed us. He gave us all the relevant information about the house and shopping, walks, etc. Immediately we felt in love with the cosy house. It is really like a home and we hardly wanted to leave it after our 6 nights. There is a lot of space and many things are if someone would live there. We felt at home and will definitely come back when we come again to Skopolos. This place is highly recommendable. Obrigada Amalia!!

We chose Glossa because we wanted to have an authentic experience of Skopelos and we were not disappointed, thanks, in large part, to Amalia's truly lovely home. The house itself provided everything we needed and were looking for. It is cozy, comfortable and picturesque. The panoramic sea view from the terrace is truly priceless. While we frequently traveled around the island, discovering its marvelous beaches, on more than one occasion we chose to spend the afternoon at home, enjoying the atmosphere of the house and surrounding village. Thank you, Amalia, for your hospitality and for preserving the authenticity of your beautiful island!
