All bedding + towels provided, as is cupboard and fridge space for food. We have prepared a guide to Edinburgh for you that is packed with insider knowledge. Looking forward to welcoming you!

You have full access to the kitchen / sofa area at all times. You'll have your own cupboard for food and space in the fridge, should you need it. Note that the kitchen is a shared space, which from time to time may be used by me (your host!) or another guest. Other rooms in the apartment are strictly off limits.

I had a wonderful stay at Andrew's place! Andrew made me feel welcome right away, was always so friendly and cheerful, and had great suggestions for things to do in Edinburgh. The room was spacious and comfortable and the flat is within easy walking distance of all the downtown attractions. Highly recommended!

Great location, easy 20 minute walk to the center of town with loads of shops and restaurants nearby. Andrew was very friendly and hospitable.

My experience was superb. Andrew's communications are outstanding. I have extremely high standards for communications, so for me to say this is very high praise indeed. A case in point: I had misunderstood something when I made the initial booking. Andrew pointed this out and helped me correct the booking so that I would receive a reduction of over 100 British pounds for my stay, which Airbnb refunded to my credit card within 48 hours. I would probably never have noticed this on my own. He also provided good directions for the local buses and even where I could buy an in-tub bath mat like the one in his apartment. This property is not (for someone my age at least) walking distance from the main tourist and Fringe areas, so it is necessary to use the buses. There are at least two convenient bus routes that will take you into town. Younger folks could probably walk if they wanted the exercise. It might take about 30-45 minutes. Bus 35 also goes to and from the airport for the normal 1.60 GBP fare. Very convenient. Going to the airport when I left took about an hour, including walking to the bus stop. The apartment itself is rather large with high ceilings, which made it feel spacious. It is on the third floor, but the spiral staircase is wide and easy to navigate. In short, highly recommended.

Thank you for your review - it was a real pleasure to host you! May I clarify one thing: the walk time into the city for someone of average age and fitness is 20 minutes, according to (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps - that's going from the apartment to the start of the historic tourist quarter which begins near the Grassmarket. Best wishes!

Nice place to stay to be far from the madding crowd but not to far that you can't walk in to the centre in 25 min Andrew was communicative and adaptable with the check in time which I really appreciated

Staying at Andrew's is one of the best travel experiences I haver ever had. The communication with the host was really good, he was polite and friendly. I appreciate the fact that he always cared about making plenty of local recommendations in order to get to know better Edinburgh. I especially liked the fact that Andrew was very sociable and he maked you feel like home. I loved how everything in the apartment was organised and my room had all the stuff needed for my stay (3 weeks). The location of the apartment is good. The train station Haymarket is less than 10 minutes by foot, which allowed me to organise my daytrips without taking a lot of different types of public transport. Besides, near to the flat you can find a beautiful walk along a canal that I strongly recommend doing it on a summer evening, just to relax and enjoy the views. I really enjoyed my stay and I would return if I had the chance!

A great place to stay that is close to the city center and easy to get to from the airport. Also close to bus routes into the city. Host was friendly and offered some great suggestion of what to do in Edinburgh. A great base camp for visiting this incredible city!
