We have a community oriented attitude where everyone enjoys making a contribution. This second story room has a cozy and cheerful environment. The fully furnished, peaceful, space is quiet with a twin sized bed, bookcase, roomy cabinet, ceiling fan and large wardrobe with mirror doors! 0ther rooms include: Serenity Destination for Her (#1) and Tranquility with a View for Her (#2)

The space

Everyone works together to enhance each person's stay. Your room is a quiet, cozy room on the 2nd floor with a cabinet and large wardrobe. Guests have access to a huge gourmet kitchen with a designated shelf in both refrigerator and pantry. You can also use the laundry room (scheduled), a spacious and comfy living room with library, spacious back porch with tables for dining, and beautiful oversized back yard with walking paths. There are optional interfaith spiritual gatherings to uplift your spirit. (No pressure of course!) Occasionally the family will require private use of the living area, and you will be included in the conversation in advance. We have two older border collie mix dogs named Saga and Moki. They are friendly to people (not necessarily other dogs). If you pet them and give them a treat or two, they are your fast friends. <3

Guest access

Our unique home is located in north central Phoenix, we are walking distance from the local canal walk, a grocery store, 5 minutes drive (or 2 mile walk) from Dreamy Draw hiking trails, 5 minute drive or short walk to a local park, 20 minutes to the airport, and 15 minutes to downtown Phoenix. One of your hosts will be there to greet you!

Interaction with guests

We are here to make your stay comfortable & enjoyable, whether you want solitude, meaningful conversation, or suggestions and directions to your next adventure. The kitchen and dining room tend to be the place to socialize with the family or other guests. Each guest chooses their level of participation on any given day. We encourage and practice no-drama living. :)

Other things to note

Some of our passions are the Baha'i Faith, vegan eating, making a difference, yoga, hiking & painting. You will be given your own customized keypad code for your stay. Your hosts are involved in community building and often work from home. We have consistently had life-enhancing individuals as guests!

I have been staying at Roben's place for 5 weeks. It has been everything I hoped it would be! Roben has been a wonderful host. She maintains a calm clean quiet well organized welcoming home. My room although small had ample storage space with a small view of the mountains. The best of all was getting to know Roben and the other house-mates. I have made new friends and this has made my experience as a travel worker all that much rewarding!! Roben, thank you from the bottom of my heart

Roben and her family were very welcoming and friendly. I felt at home staying here, and it was the perfect arrangement for me as a solo traveler- I felt safe and comfortable for the duration of my stay (a bit over a month). There is a ton of space in the house, so you can have privacy and quiet if you are in the mood. I highly recommend staying here :)

We are spiritually oriented people and love connecting with others and building community. We love creating peaceful spaces for reflection and conversation and situations in which everyone can make a contribution. My husband, Bill & I enjoy home and hiking excursions. Besides tending to our Airbnb guests, we participate in building spiritual community through Baha'i book studies, spiritual gatherings and teaching Baha'i inspired neighborhood children's classes. We love investing deeply with friends and family, especially our grown children & my mother, Mona. Permanent residents include Bill & I, my mom, Mona and son, Ian; and each make important contributions to the household.
We also have two lovable dogs, Moki and Saga.
