The space

There are some options for additional sleeping space: A bunking cot is available for up to 2 people/children or a pack and play for a baby/toddler. Please bring your own bedding for the cots/pack and play. If there are 2 people in your group and you would like a cot please let us know. A few extra blankets are available. Coffee, snacks and a variety of teas are also available in the cabin.

The cabin is located on our small 3 acre farm and is surrounded by mountain views. We have a variety of animals - llama's, sheep, chickens and rabbits to enjoy during your stay. The cabin does not have air conditioning but stays quite cool even during hot summer days. A fan is also provided in the cabin. Mountain nights can get quite cool here, there is a small electric fire place if you need it.

The Ruby Valley and surrounding area is a beautiful place to visit and explore. Especially if you enjoy the outdoors!

Our farm is 6 miles south of Sheridan. There is access to the Ruby Reservoir, Ruby River. Within 15 minutes you can see Historic Nevada City and Virginia City, several National Forest access roads and the towns of Sheridan, Twin Bridges and Alder. Within an hours drive is Bannack National Park and Ghost Town, Lewis and Clark Caverns, Crystal Park and Lake Ennis. Many guests use our place as a stopping point between Yellowstone and Glacier Parks. We are 100 miles from Yellowstone's West Entrance.

Most of all we like our guests to feel comfortable and at home during their stay. Relax if you are stressed, regain your peace if it's needed and have an overall blessed time during your stay.

Interaction with guests

We enjoy visiting with each guest if there is an opportunity to do so. If we are not going to be available we always try to let the guest know that and when we will be back.

We were greeted with real warmness by Lisa on our arrival and that was a trend carried over into our whole stay. Scott and Lisa's little cabin is perfectly equipped for the more self sufficient travellers, and we absolutely loved having some room to prepare our own food with the provided kitchen equipment. We felt relaxed the whole time, and the scenic location really amplified the serenity. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again, not just for the cuddles with their lovely cats, but for the convenient, and excellent accommodation. Stay with confidence! (Thanks again to Scott for the local hiking tips too - he's a wealth of knowledge!)

Lovely people: friendly, helpful, etc. We had a great time and loved the animals :) and we had a good nightsleep in the beautiful and cozy bunkhouse. And the location is amazing.

We really enjoyed our stay! We didn't meet Lisa but Scott welcomed us warmly late at night and showed us to the cabin. We had everything we needed for one cozy night. The kitchen was equipped well for making breakfast, and the sleeping arrangements were very comfortable. The farm is beautiful and seeing all the animals is a serene way to start the day. We would definitely recommend this cabin as a great place to stay!

Wonderful spot to rest in a rural and gorgeous location. Rustic cabin with lots of character. So nice to have fresh eggs for breakfast and to be greeted by a friendly cat and pup at the front door the next morning. The drive to here and beyond is just breathtaking. Thank you - we enjoyed it!

Scott and Lisa are excellent hosts. The fresh vegetables and the offer of fresh eggs were so greatly appreciated. With all of the precipitation I was not able to enjoy their beautiful property and animals. I will have to plan a return visit.

We stopped at Scott & Lisa's place for a night stop off between Yellowstone & Glacier which worked perfectly. The property felt very at-home and we loved the cute animals. The place was accurately described and they were great hosts, we'd recommend!

We love hosting with Airbnb! The guests that book through this site are truly some of the most wonderful people in this world. We have hosted people from all different backgrounds and various beliefs from all over the U.S. and from many different countries across the globe and have enjoyed meeting each and every one.

We love working on our small farm. In addition to gardening we have a variety of animals including our dog Suzie, the cats, Buster, Noah and Moses then there are the horses, llama's, sheep, rabbits & chickens and hopefully someday goats! Guests are welcome to walk around and get to know the animals and take pictures if they wish.
One of our greatest joy's is to tell others about the local attractions and great places to see & experience here in the Ruby Valley and all over Montana.
