B&B Il Carretto can be found on a quiet square with free parking right in the centre of the old town of Tuscania. All restaurants, bars and shops are within a few minutes walk, as are the beautiful churches and the museum. The town is a little gem with cobbled streets and beautiful fountains creating a peaceful sense of bygone years.
The area abounds in etruscan and roman remains, such as the painted tombs of Tarquinia and Tomba della Regina in Tuscania and the roman town at Vulci. Nearby is also the lake of Bolsena with many beaches and clean water for swimming and sailing and the coastal beaches at Tarquinia and Montalto di Castro are within 30 minutes drive. You can take the train to Rome from Tarquinia for a day's sightseeing and hilltowns such as Orvieto, Bagnoregio and Todi are easily reached.
Our house is of medieval origins and is comfortably furnished to maintain the character. We offer two ensuite rooms for upto 5 people in single beds or double + 1 single beds. Breakfast is available on request for an additional Euro 5,00 per person.

The Panzera family are an Anglo-Italian family who have lived in Tuscania for over 35 years. Angelo (a retired English teacher) and Philippa (a retired administrator) have three adult sons, Manuele, Marco and Roberto who all help in the B&B from time to time, together with their partners. They love to welcome guests to their character home to enjoy the delights of the beautiful, historic town of Tuscania and the wider stunning Etruscan land of the Tuscia.
