I had a pleasure staying at Gili and Eran's place for twelve days between March and April. The pictures are as the apartment appears and everything about it was comfortable, including the bed. A nice touch was a few chocolates and fruit that was waiting on my arrival, and the fact Eran was able to meet me at the apartment at 6am, before the sun was even up, was particularly cool. They also let me stay until very late on my check-out date to ensure I wasn't sitting around babysitting my suitcase in a cafe -- I was grateful for all these things. Communication throughout was excellent. The area itself is a great part of Tel Aviv, filled with cool coffee shops and cafes. It's located near Jaffa and Neve Tzedek, both about five minutes walk away. The apartment itself is located in a kind of no man's land in between Neve Tzedek and Florentine, which is particularly undeveloped and kind of decrepit. That said, it's not unsafe and if you don't mind that gritty vibe then that shouldn't be a problem. I would personally stay here again as I found it extremely comfortable. Overall, a great stay. Thanks again guys!

Communication, flexibility with check in/check out, and proximity to both Florentin and Neve Tzedek was great. The apartment is on a quiet street amongst industry type buildings, and was nice enough.

Gili and her husband were very nice and welcoming. The apartment looks exactly like on the picture, very clean and modern, however there is almost no natural light, so be prepared. The location is ok because close to Neve tsedek and all hip area by foot, however, the building itself is not in a very nice street, not dangerous at all, but just not nice. All in all my stay was ok, the main positive point of the place is that it is very clean and design, but it was really noisy at night. Also, even though it was already stated at the end of the apartment description, I really didn't like the fact that you had to pay for electricity separately, i understand they want their host to save energy and not let the AC on all day, but still it felt kinda cheap. Chose this airbnb only if you need to sleep in it and shower.

Response from Gili:
The apartment has several windows including a huge window (200cmx260cm) which enables a lot of sunlight in the main living area; actually we have recently changed the curtain to a heavier one just to block some of that light. The decision to charge the electricity separately is based on previous hosting experiences in which guests left the A/C on at all times which resulted in energy waste and an extremely high bill. This is just an attempt to maintain a wise and reasonable usage of resources. As said, the apartment is modern, clean and welcoming and we are always looking for ways to make our guests feel at home :)

Gili and her husband were very nice hosts. Although her husband had to wait for me more than one hour (because my flight was late) he was very relaxed and super kind. The apartment looks exactly as shown in the pictures, except the air conditioning system, which is brand new ("thumbs up") and not shown on the picture. The building itself and the entrance is not really nice. The facade is a bit crumbling and you have wires and stuff all over it. But thats like standard in Tel Aviv.

We stayed a week in Gili's apartment. Both Gili and her husband Eran are very nice and friendly hosts, fast in communication and flexible about arrival and "check out" times. The flat is cosy and looks just as on the pictures. What was really important to me is to have new and fresh bathroom area - I got it. Plus is the small kitchen that has everything you need on vacation. Gili and Eran also put some complimentary snacks, you nave beach towels in case you need and shower gel/shampoo, etc. The location is perfect - not far from the beach, Carmel market and Rothschild boulevard, which is very convenient. However, don't expect the area to look chic or sleek:) It's somewhat between Florentin, Jaffa and Neve Tzedek. Would really recommend it as a nice stay.
