A haven away from home - Relax in Alghero in Piazza del Teatro, enjoy the sea view while sipping a glass of wine on the terrace...
It's in the very heart of the old town in Piazza Del Teatro. Up one flight of stairs the apartment has old wood floors, a small terrace and two great windows designed to let in the bright sunshine with views to the sea and the town. You will enjoy the terrace, with a table for two where you can sip your wine while watching the sun set over the sea and Capo Caccia. The apartment has a living area with a couch and dining table as well as a 'kitchen corner' that is fully equipped to handle either a feast or simple meal. A double bedroom has old wooden beams in the ceiling and a bathroom with a shower, and completes the layout of the apartment. Just outside the apartment you're in the lively Piazza Del Teatro, in Via Principe Umberto (which locals call the "via del gusto" because of all the great restaurants - Al Bisbe, Lo Romanì and further down La Botteghina.
Alghero combines historical and cultural stimulation with the scent of the sea and some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Stroll down the old cobblestone streets, linger over coffee at a charming outdoor café, peruse the stalls of fresh fruit and vegetables at the central market, or amble through the marina and along the pristine sandy beaches. Enjoy all that Alghero has to offer, around every corner and through every one of the archways that surround my appartment in Piazza Del Teatro.
The front door to the building is on Via Principe Umberto in the Piazza del Teatro (the Theater square).

Together with a friend from Alghero, I set up an Italian language school in the heart of the old town. Our students often stay in my apartment.
The school is called Centro Mediterraneo Pintadera and we offer language and culture courses all year round.
I love to travel but don't get to nearly as much as I would like.
But my Italian language school and the guests staying in my apartment make up for that. Chatting with those from other places, other countries and cultures, exchanging experieces and points-of-view, gives me the possibility to look at things from different perspectives. I am grateful to my guests and our Italian language students for these encounters.
