Picture Postcard house, surrounded by the New Forest and its famous ponies. A period house, sitting in an acre of manicured gardens, perfectly located for the popular Burley village but also close for the coast at Mudeford and Christchurch.
'Nestled in the New Forest (2) ' is a first floor double bedded room with views of the garden and neighbouring deer park but can only be booked as additional accommodation for the same party of friends renting on our main room listed under 'Nestled in the New Forest' and not as a separate let. If this is a new enquiry, please go to that page to check availability. When both rooms are booked together, guests will share the bathroom.
Guests have full use of the garden! Continental style breakfast is served in the dining room or on the patio (weather permitting) and consists of fruit juice, choice of cereals, tea or coffee, local bread, selection of preserves and fruit bowl.
Interaction with guests
We love our home and the surrounding area and are happy to guide you with how to make the most of your stay, if needed.
Other things to note
Your host is husband of the Vicar for the local church.
We have two dogs but they have their own kennel outside and do not come into the house.
We are happy to accommodate special dietary requests if advised at time of booking.
For guests driving electric plug-in vehicles we have an external power socket to facilitate recharging at a nominal additional cost.
No smoking in the house, no narcotics or pets thank you.
After a 30 year career in Public Service I took early retirement and ran my own business in East Devon. Everything changed when my wife, Angie, felt called into the Church. I now perform the role of 'Vicar's Wife' in the beautiful New Forest village of Burley where she serves. Any spare time is spent walking our Black Labs in the forest and visiting our children and grand-children.
