Breakfast is not included in the price, you can cook up a storm in your own private kitchen. If you wish I prepare a superb home-cooked breakfast for a very reasonable price - home made blintzes, freshly baked scones, home made jams, marmalades, yoghurt smoothies, salads, pickles, fritatas - your choice! Public transport is minutes away!
This compact apartment has a separate, fully equipped kitchen, dining corner, shower and deck and fits two people comfortably. The sofa bed opens up into a comfortable double bed or two separate divans according to the wishes of the guests. Also, the deck offers ample room to stretch out with al fresco dining and the WIFI is available all over the property.
Guests have access to free parking and the entire back yard, where a BBQ is available for the guests' use, welcomes you to enjoy the citrus trees and the tranquility and quietude of nature. The amenities (kitchen, room, bathroom, parking) available for the guests are yours alone.
I respect the guests' privacy and will only be available upon request. As the listing is adjacent to my house I will be at hand when necessary. Hot breakfasts (available upon order) will be served in person and breakfast is served at my table next door when the weather gets dodgy.
The neighbourhood is quiet and charming and borders on the beautiful Rothchild gardens and nature preserve. The Roman town of Caesarea is just down the hill, as are some of the best beaches in Israel. Wineries of every kind are easily accessible in the area - boutique, organic, family, commercial and the wines are excellent. Zichron is known as the Israeli Tuscany for good reason. Taste the local olive oils, goat cheeses and you'll agree. Visit the Druze village of Daliat el Carmel with its olive presses and picturesque markets, savour the local history of Zichron and Zamerin, visit Caesarea, hike around the nature reservations and come back home for a quiet rest.
Bed&Blintzes is just two minutes walk from a bus service to Tel-Aviv, Haifa or the local Binyamina train station where trains will have you in Tel-Aviv within 35 minutes. From Haifa or Hadera (both 20 minutes' drive away) or just down the road on the highway there is easy access to Jerusalem, the Galillee - virtually anywhere.
Zichron nestles in the lower hills of the Carmel Mountains, overlooking the Mediterranean where the sea breezes lower the evening temperature considerably and the scent of orange blossom is intoxicating. There's so much to share. Come and see for yourselves.
Bed&Blintzes is a self contained apartment. BBQ is available (coordinate with host) and the fruit on the trees is there to be picked.
It's very quiet, the neighbours are great, the air up in Zichron is so much cooler than other places in the area especially in the summer and public transport is so accessible.
Trains to Tel-Aviv, Haifa and the airport from a nearby train station. Buses literally all round Israel.
My huge back yard with fruit trees and herbs is there for the guests' pleasure.
Interaction with guests
Although my house adjoins the bnb unit, I respect my guests' privacy and will not disturb them unless at their request.
Other things to note
Bikes available for loan (return deposit requested).
Zichron Yaakov is considered one of the prettiest villages in Israel and
we are close (ten minutes drive) to some of the best beaches. The ancient port of Caesarea is also as close and an amazing place to visit with its mosaics and archaeological digs, restaurants and shops.
So come on up and visit. The blintzes will be ready in no time.
There are pets but they live in my house. They don't usually disturb visitors but if you don't feel comfortable with them around, please let me know and I'll keep them in the front yard.
I cook breakfast especially for you at an additional but very reasonable, almost cost price. Please let me know the evening before what time you'd like it served and what kind of breakfast you'd like (Israeli (with olive/parmesan muffins), Blintzes (sweetened cheese and fruit) or Fresh fruit [smoothie+fruits, nuts +yoghurt]).
Please do turn off the air conditioning when you leave. The studio is quite compact and cools off within seconds of turning the a/c back on.
The fruit in the garden is yours to enjoy, but please only pick the fruit when ripe. Ask me if you're unsure.
Cancel up to 5 days before your trip and get a full refund. Cancel within 5 days of your trip and the first night is non-refundable, but 50% of the cost for the remaining nights will be refunded.
I'm a teacher - probably because I like meeting people, a fact reflected in my newest venture: Bed&Breakfast. I named it Bed&Blintzes because that's what my kids and grandkids like best about staying with Grandma Trish. As my guests, you get spoiled the same. Look forward to meeting you. Shalom and lehitraot.
