Amy's cottage is a slice of heaven. My girlfriend and I spent four days there and we felt like we were at home as soon as we stepped in. In a secluded part of NH, you truly have your privacy. Although we did not hike, it is available to do if you so choose. Also, we were in close proximity to Laconia where we rode the Mt. Washington Ferry and dipped our feet in the waters of Weirs Beach. Be sure to take advantage of the kitchen for cooking, and to have a picnic at the pond next to the cottage. One of our best Airbnb experiences to date.

A lovely little cottage in a magical little valley. About a 15-minute drive from Lake Winnipesaukee in Tuftonboro and about 25 minutes from Wolfeboro, but it feels like you are far away from modern life in a secluded valley. There is WiFi and a TV, but why not turn off, unplug, read a good book, and get away from it all for a couple of nights?

This is a cute cottage in a quiet and peaceful setting. It was wonderful sitting in the screened in room with a morning coffee, or an evening glass of wine while listening to the babbling brook and gazing at the lovely pond. Amy was easy to communicate with and helpful. She allowed us to change our reservation to a day earlier since the place wasn't booked. She also gave us good directions to find the place. While we were there, we hiked the Lower Brook Trail in the Castile of the Clouds Conservation Area. We parked at the trailhead parking lot and did the trails for free. We also took a short drive to the youth camp down the road and hiked the Ledge Trail, which led us to a spectacular view of the lakes near and far (about 2 hours hiking round trip). Since the area is mountainous, expect hikes to be fairly strenuous. The cottage was about an hour's drive to Franconia Notch along scenic roads. It was hot during our time there, but the cottage was always cool and comfortable. We enjoyed the beach in Wolfeboro, and even went to the Libby Museum there on our one rainy day. We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage and would recommend it to anyone!

I enjoyed a few days of downtime in Amy's cottage. It was a great base to launch fishing and hiking adventures in the lakes and southern White Mountains area. The house was clean, thoughtfully-equipped, and quiet. I really enjoyed sitting on the small screened in room sipping on coffee or a beer. Would stay here again!

This is a super cute and serene place near the White Mountains and Lake Winnipesaukee! It was so quite and peaceful there we got some great nights sleep and lots of relaxation. It was secluded but close enough to go explore a lot of places. We started think about when we could get back there even before leaving! Would totally recommend to folks looking to get out of the city and into nature! Thanks Amy!

Amy User ProfileAmy is a superhost.

We live in Canaan Valley with our two children, Boston Terrier and turtle. When my husband and I can take a break from the classic car restoration business, we like to hike, bike and travel. We live for spring and summer when we can enjoy the lake and surrounding mountains.
We love to host and give area advice. From our travels we have gained a good sense of how to create a comfortable and efficient space for our guests.
When we host, we like to check-in the guest personally (when possible). We're very respectful of space and privacy and leave interaction up to the guests. We're always welcoming if you'd like to tag along on a hike, walk or trip to the lake.
We love to give recommendations for area activities and restaurants. We can book a yoga session, send you links to hiking maps or help you schedule a paddle board lesson! The area has much to offer.
