Our Gillcrist Getaway is an attractive and comfortable family home on culdesac near beaches and attractions. All appliances, washer/dryer, fireplace, wall to wall carpeting, two car garage, wifi/cable T.V., handicap access. Towels, bedding and amenities are provided. Sleeps up to 10.
This space is unique because it is located at the juncture of two culdesacs and is quite cozy and private.
You will have full access to the home and garage. We only ask that our guests not go into the china wall hutch and specified cabinets.
Interaction with guests
We live blocks away from our getaway and are at the ready to help if help is needed! The entry code for each stay is sent to the guest(s) a few days before arrival along with directions.
Other things to note
Out of respect for our neighbors, we ask that our guests maintain a low profile while at our home. Parties, pets and smoking are prohibited.
Guests should do their dishes and remove their shoes when entering the house. There is a piano in the living room. Children are not allowed to play on the piano; only use the piano if you know how to treat it. Please don't put wet towels on the furniture. Soiled towels can be placed in the laundry basket in the Master Bedroom or near the washing machine in the garage. At departure, please leave linens on the beds, do all dishes, wipe down the counters in the kitchen and remove all trash. We ask our guests to treat our home as if it were their own and respect our neighbors' privacy. No parties, smoking or pets are allowed.
We have a wild bunny who lives on the property. His name is Bandito. We ask that he not be chased, touched or bothered in any way. He does love to hear his name and will often sit and listen as his name is being said.
My husband and I have nine children. We have homeschooled all of them. I am a Men's and Women's Fencing Coach for an NCAA Intercollegiate Program and enjoy hiking, swimming, and traveling. I am also the Chairman of a Memorial Scholarship Program. My husband, Jim, is a retired Naval Aviator who currently works for a Defense Contractor. He is also a Boy Scout Troop Leader and enjoys surfing, paddleboarding, and hiking.
Our motto is "Strength and Honor"; we teach our children that life is all about love and service.
