We rented this home as a gathering place for several family members who were traveling for a wedding in the area. There were 7 adults and a 1 yr old and we had plenty of room! There were enough bedrooms and gathering spaces that we never felt cramped or on top of one another. The home is clean and cozy, nicely decorated and well equipped to make the most of your stay - everything from extra throw blankets and extensive DVDs, comfortable beds, wonderful views, paddle boards and vests, bbq, to even toys/baby gate/booster chairs for the little ones. The home is somewhat remote but there are several other homes in the lake neighborhood and the nearest small-town shop is 10 or so min away, larger stores about 20, so it did not feel disconnected. It does sit at the end of a dirt road so if you're approaching at night it may throw you off, but be assured it is as pictured (the scenery is even more beautiful)! The lake is a short, couple minute walk down a nice path and we all enjoyed sitting on the dock and splashing in the water. The "beach" area is a short drive or nice walk from the home and is better suited for swimming - you can also paddle board over! We cooked and ate most of our meals at the home and the kitchen has everything you need. Furnishings are nice and well kept, truly feels like a warm home. Cell reception is spotty - AT&T worked but the others did not. Weather was a bit on the warm side and the home does not have A/C but you get a good breeze with the windows open (they are all nicely screened). Unfortunately the internet was down during our stay but it forced us to really break away from work and focus on the vacation. Kate was a wonderful host; friendly, easy to get in touch with, and offered to have local family check in with us if needed to ensure our stay went smoothly. I'd definitely return if ever in the area. Thanks Kate!

Beautiful house in a secluded location. Comfortably fit 6 of us and the lake was perfect for star gazing at night and a quick dip during the day. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a few quiet nights off-grid and in nature. Also took a hike on the Appalachian trail, which was a short car drive away.

We stayed at Kate's place over the weekend. It was secluded and private at the end of paved dead end road. Kate was very prompt on answering questions and responding. She was nice enough to be flexible with check in and check out because she did not have any other guest coming so it was very convenient and a bonus for us! Thanks again Kate for making our stay wonderful!

A beautiful house in a beautiful spot. It is at the end of an unpaved road in a quiet neighborhood and overlooks a lake. Our fall stay was absolutely gorgeous! The house has everything you need with plenty of room to sleep and hang out.

Incredibly cozy home with a great view for the master bedroom upstairs, working kitchen and outdoor bbq and walking access to a dock. A little secluded but perfect 20 min drive to the Appalachian trail and a few farms and orchards. Perfect weekend for 8 friends.

I was born and raised in Lenox, MA and I absolutely love The Berkshires! I moved to Los Angeles, CA in 2001 where I live with my husband, Erik and our 3 beautiful children. We hope you enjoy this Idyllic getaway as much as we have! Welcome to your home away from home!
