Jenny (or Kim?) was nice. She tried having me stay somewhere else after I booked this room, which I found odd and had to insist on staying at the location I booked. I stayed in her apartment for about 2 months. The room is in a good location and the place was clean. Given that it is in an ideal location, it is also on one of the main roads and very noisy. I am not one to typically complain but the wifi was the biggest problem. It is shared with another apartment (at least that is what one of the other tenants told me) so it was very slow or did not work at all for days at a time. She gave me the number to call... but being from outside the country and that the account is under her name, I couldn't. Also, make sure you bring your own sheets and towels as those were not provided.
Jenny's place is in great location in Geneva, with connection to the Airport as well with the train station. The apartment is neat and clear, if you need something, Jenny will do her best to help you out. She's response time is fantastic, answer time within an hour. If. I go back in Geneva again, I will look first Jenny.
We never actually met Jenny, as she was in the US during our stay. However, her family seems to inhabit most of the building, so we had no problems obtaining the key. The person we obtained the key from, however, provided us the key for a different AirBNB listing by Jenny -- so for an evening, we had an entire apartment to ourselves. Her sisters came by the next day to evict us from this mistaken (although same price) booking, and we relocated one floor up to an apartment with three bedrooms, one of them ours. This was understandable, and was not entirely Jenny's fault. Where we had issues with this reservation was with Jenny's flatmate, who is a known but undocumented problem in the AirBNB posting. The flatmate insisted upon playing the same radio station at his stereo's maximum capacity every moment he was in the apartment -- including while asleep. Despite repeated attempts to convince him to either turn the volume down to a level where the thin walls would slightly dampen it, or to use headphones that we bought for him, he continued to blast his music all day and night. When we contacted Jenny about this, and asked her to get in touch with the roommate, we were surprised to find out that she was very much aware of this problem, referring to the roommate with particular terms that fit our observations. This is a serious problem with the listing that was completely undocumented, instead choosing to describe the listing as "clean and quiet bedrooms apartment." Aside from our inability to obtain more than a few moments of sleep at a time in between songs, the apartment's location was as described -- it was no more than a 10 minute walk to Gare Carnavan and a plethora of restaurants and shops. However, this roommate rendered our stay absolutely miserable. Additionally, the claim that this apartment has "separate bathroom and toilets" for "each bedroom" is false -- there is one for all three bedrooms; and there is no "big living room" as described in the listing.
