This is a funky, lived in and much loved little cottage on the Brighton Hove border, minutes from the sea. Central but tucked away, comfortable but without microwave, dishwasher or dryer. Sundeck off the bathroom and tiny patio.

The space

A funky, tiny mews type house a few hundred meters from the sea front on the Brighton Hove border. One double bedroom, one small second bedroom with day bed and spare bed under - can be put together as a large double. Bathroom that opens out on to south-facing sundeck! Small living room with wood burning stove and comfortable (but not new) furniture, 25" TV and video. Tiny dining room that can accommodate eight at a real squeeze - but four more comfortably. Small galley kitchen with gas cooker, small fridge, washing machine. Note: no micro-wave, freezer, dishwasher or dryer. Gas central heating and Wifi, small patio and minute front garden. An old house, much loved and lived in - available from time to time for people wanting a lovely short break in lovely Brighton. Minutes from the sea, major shops in Western Road with lots of lovely restaurants and cafes in the vicinity. It is less than half an hour's walk from the North Laine, the Lanes, Palace Pier, Brighton Eye and the Pavilion. The house is five minutes walk from the Brighton i360, which should be operational from summer 2016. You will be able to ride up this 450ft high tower in a glass pod - and see for miles and miles and miles. The house is 20 minutes walk from Brighton station and well served by buses and taxis. Parking on the street - costs £1/hour and £5.20 for 11 hrs (as of Feb 2016). Children and well behaved pets welcome.

Beautiful and cosy house really close to the beach. Lou is super friendly and welcoming, and we had a wonderful weekend staying in her lovely home.

An amazing character property tucked away down a little Mew's but close to everything that Brighton has to offer.

It was quirky and quaint for sure. Felt like a home from home, which was great!

Lous cottage is charming, comfortable and homely. Staying here you have the benefit of peace and quiet yet 10 mins walk away from the restaurants, pubs and entertainment of a bustling city. I would recommend it to anyone and would definitely go back. We loved our stay.

Minutes from Brighton beach, shops and restaurants yet hidden away from the main road, just follow a narrow garden path surrounded an oasis of flowers and plants to a beautiful terraced cottage. We loved waking up to birds singing (no traffic noise), there's a mini courtyard to leave the dog if you need to pop out quickly and also a nice feature to the large bathroom is that it opens up to a little sun terrace. A great find, would definitely recommend.

Lou's home is in a fantastic location for the sea front and about a 25 minute walk to Brighton centre. It is in beautiful quiet muse with lots of quirky touches. Lou made life so easy for us with our arrival. Highly recommended!

I'm a retired civil servant.Used to work in International Development - so have travelled alot. I've lived in Hove for about 12 years. I love it. Very buzzy, busy, arty, young and generally very cool. I'd love for my lovely quirky cottage to be used when I'm not there.
