This is a great modern apartment with all the amenities you need, exactly as advertised and well located close to Sagrada Familia. Ruben is a fantastic host, very friendly and available if you have any questions.

This was our first Airbnb stay, and we were a little nervous having never stayed in anything but hotels when travelling, but gotta say, it couldn't have been better! Ruben contacted me before we arrived in Barcelona (from Toronto), seeing if we had any questions and opened himself to communication from the get-go. Upon our arrival, we were received exactly what we expected based on the pictures. No surprises whatsoever. The loft is exactly as you would expect. Ruben and his friend were there to greet us, give us a tour, answer all our questions, everything. Also hosted us with a lovely bottle of wine to welcome us to Barcelona! The kitchen was stocked with everything you could want - including basic spices and even coffee! The only surprising thing for us was the lack of an oven. Wasn't an issue as I didn't actually cook there, but at one point my husband wanted to re-heat pizza and that's when he realized there wasn't an oven - so he nuked it and all was fine ;) Bathrooms had towels and plenty of toilet paper! We did find the a/c wasn't quite as cold as we would like, but it was certainly livable. We chalked it up to (1) it's Spain in July; and (2) coming from North America, we rely on ridiculously cold a/c more than Europeans. The bed has a memory foam mattress that we found heavenly. (We're always concerned about crappy mattresses!) Location was absolutely perfect. 10 minute walk to the Sagrada Familia, and a 5-10 minute cab ride to absolutely everywhere else we wanted to go. At the end of the street, there is a fantastic bakery where we would get pastries & cappuccino every morning, and next to that an great little pizza shop that we enjoyed on our 'nights off' of sight seeing. If we ever come back to Barcelona, and I hope we do, I would absolutely stay here again.

Ruben's apartment is a wonderful place to stay. Beautifully designed, well appointed, well conceived space- everything adds to ones enjoyment. Ruben welcomed us most graciously, helped with local information. The location works well, the neighborhood offers all which one could need. We were delighted and would return in a flash. Thanks Ruben for providing this experience.

We can't recommend Ruben's apartment enough. It's in a safe area, super quiet (especially at night), very clean, with all of the modern conveniences you would expect. Ruben was able to let us into the apartment after midnight due to a late flight, and was gracious enough to grant us a late check-out. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Ruben! It was perfect.

Ruben was a really nice guy. On arrival he showed us around the apartment and was very informative about the local area and other places we wanted to see. He also left a present on arrival which was a lovely touch.

Fantastic experience! The house is perfect, very nice, cozy and it's as it looks like in the pictures. Every single detail is taken care of with passion. The position is good as well: near sagrada familia in the eixample quarter. You can go around by walk or by metro and the area is very quite and calm. Rubén is the perfect host: very nice, kind, willing and helpful. He also gave us a welcome present to celebrate our arrival. I strongly suggest to stay at this place if you come by around here.
