Nice apartment. Nice view. The hosts are very nice and accommodating. It's a little far from Old Town but that 25min walk has a nice view.

Lovely apartment with glorious views - the photos don't really do it justice. We were two couples and we essentially had two separate suites with a common meeting place for meals etc. Both bedrooms have balconies as does the living area and the one attached to the twin bedded room is particularly spacious and pleasant. The apartment was immaculate, extremely clean and equipped with everything we could have possibly wanted including wine fruit and essentials like milk sugar salt/pepper etc. Excellent air conditioning and black out shutters also made our stay very comfortable. We were met by Frank who lives below and he was extremely helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. The area is very residential, quiet and has a small supermarket five minutes away which Frank showed us when we arrived. It stays open until 9pm and sold everything we needed for breakfasts and basic meals. It's worth noting that buying foodstuffs in the city centre is impossible and while there are a few small shops as you walk down into the city there are no shops larger than the one near the apartment. In terms of restaurants nearby there are three up on the main road - an Italian which was pleasant, the Taj Mahal which was Bosnian and sold some very unusual food and another we didn't try next to the Italian. The Hotel Rixos is five minutes away - a beautiful hotel with many facilities which are open to non residents. You can seemingly just wander in and use their restaurants, bars, pools and beach without anyone asking if you are staying there - we even went in one day and they telephoned a tour company we were waiting for to pick us up no questions asked! We used their terrace bar for a drink on several occasions and the view is spectacular, we ate there once in the same bar and though the food was only average the setting is beautiful and the staff very friendly. The walk into Dubrovnik takes about 25 minutes to the Pile Gate, mostly downhill, and about 35-40 minutes to the harbour depending on the crush to get through the gate (a local told us this can take up to half an hour when there are several cruise ships in!) Its worth mentioning that we looked on the Croatia Traveller website and worked out days to go into Dubrovnik based on the cruise ship schedule which is listed on there. It makes a massive difference to your experience as some days there are over 7000 people descending on the old town in one day! If you don't fancy the walk to town you can go up to the main road past The Rixos and catch a number 4 bus which takes you quickly to the centre, we often got it back as the walk is much more uphill on the return journey. We bought Dubrovnik cards which give you ten bus journeys in seven days and many reductions on attractions...

This was a great place to stay! Perfect distance from Old Town, where you could walk to quickly but enough away to be quiet. The place was spacious, clean and had a wonderful view. The host was great and very helpful. I will absolutely stay here again next time I visit Dubrovnik, which will be soon!

I wish you a warm welcome in my hometown :)
Looking forward to answer all of your questions :D

I'm 25 years old, born and raised in Dubrovnik, definitely town that you'll remember. I'm running Dominium Travel agency in Dubrovnik together with my colleagues which you'll probably meet while staying here.

So far, I've been to London, Dublin, Paris, Istanbul, Rome, Venice, Trieste, Barcelona, Wien, Prague. There are few destinations on my bucket list that I still didn't crossed: Vietnam, Mexico, Cambodia, Singapore, Cuba...

I hope you'll enjoy your stay with us :)

If you decide to book , please let me know if you are arriving with a car , bus or from airport so that I can send you directions to the apartment in details, also it would be good, if you book the accommodation , that you send me your email address so that I could send you a map with marked location and coordinates .
