This unique private guest suite is close to cafes, a park, and restaurants. It features a hot tub & large patio surrounded by bamboo. It is great for quiet and respectful singles, couples, and business travelers for short or medium-duration stays.

The space
Quiet and cozy, this private modern guest suite has colorful lighting, a large walk-in shower and a large TV with Roku - access any of your own subscription services such as Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, HBO and more. Please be prepared with your own login information to access your channels and services. There is no cable TV or local channel antenna, but you can use your own cable subscription credentials for many ROKU apps. Please keep the volume at a reasonable level, or use the provided FM headphones if you prefer a loud volume, as the Homeowners' bedroom is directly above.

The large patio features a covered hot tub, suitable for use year-round. Note that there is no kitchen, however there is a mini fridge, a microwave, some silverware and compostable plates and bowls - good enough for restaurant leftovers or simple preparations.

There is a desk and office chair in the room perfect for getting work done on your laptop. The desk has a coffee maker with one side just for dispensing hot water for tea, instant oatmeal, etc.

As mentioned in the summary, this space has low ceilings. The bedroom ceiling is 6'1" and the hallways have crossbeams at 5'10". While some guests over 6' have had a great experience regardless of this, please know your own comfort level before booking.

Guest access
The entire unit has private access with keyless entry, separate from the rest of the house. The bedroom has a keyed door for additional security. (I do have a spare, just in case the key gets lost.) I will never access the unit while a guest is booked, without notifying the guest and receiving the guest's approval.

Everywhere outdoors are common areas - however, I rarely use back patio while guests are present. Usually, I will only use the area to access the toolshed if I need something, or we sometimes use the upper back deck in the summer for a few hours in the afternoon or evening. I do my best to provide guests as much privacy as possible during their stay.

For your own safety, please do not go down to the lower area of the backyard - guest access ends at the back edge of the patio. The lower yard has construction materials and other debris, and is not suitable for guests.

There are lights along the fence to light the path at night, and a motion sensing light on the deck to light the entrance if you arrive late at night.

Other things to note
Hot water is shared with the rest of the house - please be considerate and do not use up all the hot water by taking excessively long showers!

Please clean your dishes and leave the space as tidy as you can. There is dish soap and a sponge under the bathroom sink.

Please do not remove any instruction manuals from the suite.

Leave used towels in a pile on the bathroom floor when checking out. Clean, unused towels can be left hanging on the rack.

Maple Leaf is a very walkable neighborhood north of Downtown Seattle. The house is between Roosevelt and 5th Avenue - both are great transit corridors to get downtown or elsewhere around the city.

A large park is a few blocks south with views spanning Bellevue and the Cascades to the East, and Mount Rainier and Downtown Seattle to the South. A few different bars, coffee shops and restaurants are adjacent to the park, and supermarkets are nearby as well.
