Wii Console, extensive DVD library and two Smart TVs make entertaining families at night a breeze.

The space

Ideally suited for visitors seeking to make the most of London. A unique house in a Conservation area close to Buckingham Palace, Parliament Square, the London Eye, the South Bank, the West End and Battersea Park. Outside, there is a direct bus service to South Kensington with its world famous museums and the Royal Albert Hall. A few minutes away, there is a bus to Parliament and Trafalgar Square, Shaftesbury Avenue and all that the West End has to offer.

Although the main part of the house is 150 years old, it has been sympathetically modernised inside, with a range of original features and modern appliances allowing for comfortable living.

Guest accommodation comprises a smart double bedroom, sole access to a charming patio terrace with benches and fountain and sole use of a bathroom with extra large bath and shower fitting. Children's bath products are also provided.

The second bedroom is exceptionally quiet, with no street facing walls, yet minutes away from the sights and sounds of Central London and all the city has to offer.

There is a luxurious TV/dining room and a handmade kitchen with a full range of appliances, including a dishwasher. Separately, there is a washer/dryer, washing capsules are provided.

There is both a cafe and a famous delicatessen within five metres of the house. On the adjacent street, there is a range of amenities, small well-stocked supermarket, dry cleaner, laundrette, Indian restaurant, pub and colourful Tapas bar. There is a fantastic variety of shops, bars and restaurants near Victoria Station. The River Thames is five minutes away on foot with an easy crossing to Battersea Park and Nine Elms.

Victoria train, coach and bus stations are all within ten minutes' walk and Pimlico tube station is on the adjacent street.

Guest access

The house is situated in the quiet conservation area of Pimlico, close to Buckingham Palace, Tate Britain, Parliament Square, the London Eye, the South Bank, the West End and Battersea Park. Victoria train, coach and bus stations are all within ten minutes' walk and Pimlico tube station is on the adjacent street. Outside, there are direct bus services to South Kensington with its world famous museums and the Royal Albert Hall, Oxford Street and Westminster. Interaction with guests

Usually, either myself or a friend meets a guest on arrival, although it is possible for those arriving at unsocial hours to let themselves in. I am available by 'phone/email to answer questions and to arrange for taxis for guests. Sometimes, I come for the departure, however, I generally leave guests to let themselves out at their convenience, which is very easy.

There is a converted coal vault adjacent to the house, which can be used as a luggage storage room, enabling guests to retrieve their luggage without needing to re-enter the house,

Other things to note

It is important to know how to use the heating before the person greeting leaves, although it is automatically set to go on both mornings and evenings. There is a detailed instruction booklet in the kitchen but it is easier if you ask the person introducing you to the house.

There were 5 of us staying (all adults) at this flat. It has 3 levels, living room when entering and downstairs has the two bedrooms and upstairs has the study (plus an extra pull out bed. We had a great time staying there. The pimlico neighborhood is lovely to leisurely stroll during the day and get to many London main spots within 15 minutes by the tube or walk of 30 minutes. Sarah and her friend, Laszlo are great hosts, very responsive and upon arrival, Laszlo explained us everything we needed to know about the place. Overall, an amazing experience and stay.

Fantastic apartment with lots of space over three floors. Fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Very quiet location in a pleasant neighbourhood with hire bikes very closeby.

Our family of four (two boys under 9) had a nice stay in this flat. The location is ideal: close to everything - including great walks/runs along the river and in Battersea Park - but in a quiet, village-like atmosphere. The flat is quite large with comfy bedrooms and sitting areas. There were DVDs, CDs, a smart TV after the long day exploring London. There were also many books, which I would have loved to read. The beds are comfy, the bathrooms clean with plenty of hot water. Communication with the owner was quite good. There were even some nice snacks and drinks left for us. We couldn't have asked for more - very high marks!

Lovely flat, Sarah was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and well furnished with a particularly comfortable bed. Sarah lent me a key to the cycle hire, which was convenient. I enjoyed my stay!

Sarah is a very kind host, and the house is very close from the most famous attractions in London. Rent a bike with barclays and explore the City as much as you can! The room was very clean, but too many ants in the kitchen (that's my black note!).

Response from Sarah:
Thanks for your constructive comments, there was a record-breaking heatwave and some ants did come into the kitchen from the garden but they retreated once I sought a remedy.

I run a small organic business from home. I live in central London very near to tube stations and good local buses. There are plenty of amenities nearby, with supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, Boris bikes, library and a lovely park (Battersea). My interests include cooking, ski-ing, walking, reading and eating out.
