A great, homely one bedroom garden flat near vibrant Tooting, full of original period features with a calming interior and comfy double bed.

Clean, tidy and spacious flat - the perfect place to rest after sightseeing in London.

The space
A beautiful, newly renovated and homely period flat in South West London, just 5 minutes walk to the tube with central London easily accessible in 35 minutes.

Available as a one bedroom property which sleeps two people in one double bedroom. A more affordable option is to stay in the flat with my housemate there. Please see my other listing for a private room in a shared space.

Great location for restaurants, pubs, cafes and supermarkets with Tooting Broadway a short walk away.

Guest access
You will have access to the whole flat apart from my room so please make yourself at home. Your room is spacious with plenty of storage and room to tuck suitcases away if you want to unpack. There is a comfortable cast iron double bed, white cotton sheets and fresh towels :-) Wi-Fi covers the whole flat.

If you rent the entire flat, you have sole access to the lounge, kitchen and bathroom and I won’t be around during your stay. The kitchen has provisions like tea, coffee, butter, oil, spices etc which you can help yourself to. You are also welcome to use the garden where I am experimenting with growing things! There is a patio and chairs for sunny days, and some fresh herbs growing if you would like to cook in the kitchen.

The lounge has cable TV if you feel like relaxing on the sofa. The flat is very calming with off-white walls, hints of grey and sage green decor, restored fireplaces throughout and wooden floors in the communal areas. A great place to rest after being out and about in London.

Other things to note
This is a two bedroom flat but the other room is mine and will be closed if you choose to stay when I am not there.

There is a train line going past the end of the road. It's a local line serving Wimbledon and doesn't have high speed trains, plus I have double glazing throughout so hopefully you won't find it a problem.

Tooting Broadway has some of the best Indian restaurants in London and is fast becoming a foodie destination with new businesses opening all of the time - the Chicken Shop, Little Taperia, Brickwood and Honest Burgers are all within walking distance. Several great pubs provide a warm welcome, with the Antelope and the Castle having huge beer gardens for summer evenings - both are a short stroll away.

Wimbledon common is within easy reach as is Morden Hall Park with its classic English rose garden. The famous textile designer William Morris had a printing studio at nearby Merton Abbey Mills and this is an interesting heritage site full of independent craft shops and restaurants.

If you are feeling brave (!) the Tooting Bec Lido is a great outdoor swimming pool that is open during the summer months.

I love travel, meeting new people and exploring our amazing world. Really enjoy time spent in nature, yoga, photography and the great outdoors. I'm late-30's, pretty active, like cycling around London, catching up with friends and family and trying out new cafes, restaurants and bars.

During your stay
This is my home, but if you rent the whole property I won't be around during your stay. I'm really happy to give you plenty of tips for your visit to London and ideas on fun and interesting things to do - either the main tourist attractions or quirky local hotspots. I've lived here for 7 years so I have plenty of these to recommend! I also work for an adventure travel company, so planning great holidays is my passion and I'd love to help you experience the best of London... just ask :-)

I will leave you some books on great things to do in London.

If you would like to stay in the private room when I am in the flat, please see my separate listing.
