My family (husband, 2 daughters), stayed at Susan's cottage over Thanksgiving Weekend with the goal to unplug, relax and spend time with one another. The cottage was cozy, clean, and complete with so many thoughtful extras that made our holiday goals easily happen. It's location is great, and close to many things including Tatamagouche (Brewery and Farmers Market are a must!), Sugar Moon Farm, and plenty of fantastic hiking and cycling trails (great for our outdoorsy family) . The water in the Northumberland straight was still warm enough to swim in too! Extra perk! Fantastic host, Highly recommended.

This little paradise made my holidays more than perfect, it was exactly as it was described; clean, spacious, quiet and cozy. Susan had responded very promptly to all my questions. I am not disappointed! I was able to enjoy kayaking and biking. The shed was a bonus to store my bike. The kitchen is all furnishes, i cooked and baked, felt right at home!! Thank you for sharing your cottage.

Great stay! Roomy and comfortable. Water was discoloured but we bought bottled water.

Great little place. Cosy and open concept-ish with natural light. It's got an off-the-grid vibe, so no wifi (yet?). Used it as a place to get out of the city setting and as a launch point to PEI (using the ferry). It's located close to a discrete provincial beech. The property is pretty small, so you wouldn't be able to get a fire going. But Susan and Christa are great hosts, which is the most important part.

I was not so impressed with this property given what I wanted to do this weekend. The property is advertised as a cottage or cabin with a 200 m walk to the ocean. It is a 200 m walk to the ocean but the property is not a cabin. It is on a very small plot of land and has neighbours on all four sides. The land isn't large enough to have a fire pit while still following NS domestic fire regulations (at least so many feet from the building or deck). It is also very close to the main road so we heard the traffic inside the house. As a cottage (the way the property is listed) I would say that it is very misleading. I think it would be better described as a small well designed home that people could use as a jumping off spot to visit the sights in rural NS. House was very clean and well laid out. Checking in was painful since the code didn't work and I was required to crawl under the an out building to find the key.

Great little quiet and secluded cottage just off the ocean. We loved the rustic roof in the kitchen and the hammock porch swing chair on the veranda!

Hello, my name is Susan and I come from a family of 10. I live with my Mom for the last two years since my Dad passed away. I am very faith oriented and have been blessed throughout my life. I enjoy cooking, baking, reading, knitting, music and helping others. I love my cottage but with the busy life I lead, I do not use it enough. I know you'll love my nestled cottage and feel at home . . . away from home.
