Centrally located in inner-NE Portland between Mississippi and Alberta Arts neighborhoods and just 4 miles from downtown, our new little house is a modern-rustic one bedroom loft with high ceilings and lots of light. Beautiful, cozy, and clean! Family friendly!
New, modern home. Concrete floors with radiant heat, reclaimed wood and metal for stairs/ladder and loft, dishwasher, washer/dryer, iron and ironing board, full bathroom with shower and lots of little touches for our guests.
The Big Little House is all yours to enjoy! There is a small, semi-private side yard that is also yours.
This property features August Smart Lock which provides secure, keyless entry. You can lock and unlock the door with your smartphone, using a unique virtual key issued to you for the duration of your stay. You don't have to worry about losing or returning the keys again!
Interaction with guests
We are in the main house up front and are very happy to help you with anything you might need if we are home. Our backyard, in which our children play, is adjacent to the Big Little House. Please note the yard is shared.
Other things to note
The main floor living and sleeping area is easily accessible, but the stairs/ladder to the loft area is quite steep and not for those with limited mobility. You must be a confident, capable ladder climber, as you may need to descend the ladder in the night in order to use the bathroom.
Check in after 2pm (flexible if not rented the prior eve)
Check out by 11:00 am
Quiet hours between 9pm-9am
The ladder to the loft is not to be used by children under the age of 8. No stocking feet on the ladder. Shoes or bare feet only.
Our home is privately owned and, as such, we are not responsible for any accidents, injury or illnesses that occur while on the premises.
Excited to begin hosting travelers in our new Big Little House. Kristen is a teacher by trade who is taking the year off to stay home with our wee one, and Chris works as an account director in branding/strategy. We love the outdoors, dance parties with our girls and eating out in Portland. Hope you find us both welcoming and gracious.
