Who is looking for piece & quiet and wants to be close to the water is right here. The house is not that big but offers everything to make yourself comfortable...

The space

Our beach house is a small place very close to the beach of Comeaus Hill in Nova Scotia, Canada. They catch the Lobster here and ship it all around the globe. Comeaus Hill is a small comunity which can not be more canadian then this. They speack english here but acadian as well - which is an old french. In our house we have two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a set of twin beds and there is the couch which makes a great bed, too. There is a full bath and the kitchen is waiting for you to cook and eat in. On the deck you can see the sunset behind the church or you can relax inside in the rocking chairs.

There is no TV or phone in the house.

It is only a short walk down to the beach or if you take the car the other way you are in Yarmouth in 20 minutes where you can find everything you want.

Guest access

Guest will have access to the house and all which comes with it, BBQ on the deck included - some cabinets with personal stuff are locked as same as the garage and the basement is not part of the use.

Interaction with guests

While we renting our house we are usually not there and can only interact via phone or email.

Other things to note

Please bring your own towels!
Since our house is mostly rented for longer periods of time – a week or more – we are not able to supply you with fresh towels during that time. So the easiest is to bring your own and wash them when you like...
Bring a cell / mobil phone because there is no phone line in the house.

Boris and family gave us all the information we needed prior to our arrival. The little house was so clean and comfortable for my daughter, her 2 little boys and myself. There was even a toy chest with books, puzzles, blocks, etc.-the boys were thrilled to find it! The area was very quiet; the lovely little sand beach was just down the road-we took beautiful sunset walks every night. During the day we explored Yarmouth town with its delicious Old World Bakery, and the surrounding area- the Leif Ericson Park and Cape Forchu Lighthouse were great to explore with the children. We so enjoyed coming back to this peaceful home every evening.

My family and I stayed here for 3 days while visiting Yarmouth. Comeau's Hill is a convenient 15-18 minutes outside of town, and allows you to get out and experience quintessential southwestern Nova Scotia. Boris was in touch with us about a week before arrival, and sent PDF's of all the information we'd need in preparation for and upon our arrival. The house and property were picturesque and in excellent condition. The interior was spacious for 5, had a nice european flair along with touches of classic Nova Scotia, and was well appointed with everything needed for our stay. I would have loved to stay longer. The beach at the end of the road is a great place to find driftwood or washed-up fishing buoys, and the stars on a clear night are spectacular! If you are looking for a comfortable, convenient place to stay while in Yarmouth, definitely consider this property. Highly recommended.

This was the first time we used Airbnb, and it was very positive. Boris was friendly and very quick to respond to any questions we had. He also provided excellent information on things to do in the area. We were looking for a quiet, child-friendly property within walking distance from the ocean and the property met our expectations. The house is well-equipped, particularly for a young family. The immediate neighbourhood is sparsely populated, but the neighbours we did meet were very friendly. There are some beautiful views within a short walking distance. I don't know whether this is typical, but there was a mist rolling in on several mornings that added to the beauty. There is plenty to do a short drive away. We particularly enjoyed Mavillette Beach, the Pubnico Acadian Village, and Stanley's Lobster (the best lobster we have ever had).
