Thanks for a wonderful stay. Corris is a lovely little village and this cabin is perfectly situated in the woods. Great recommendations, for both us and the dog.

Overall had an okay stay, but I personally would not book the cabin again. These were the things that bothered me (all of them have been raised with Jeanette and she was quick in replying and had a justification for most of the points - however, for us they were issues): - cutlery and glasses, mugs, plates etc. were dirty - the cloths and especially the sponge to wash up in the kitchen were grubby - there was mould in the bread box - there is black mould around your windows on the wood - there is black mould in the shower - there was a layer dust all over the walls - there was exactly 1 teabag - there was 1 dishwasher tab - the light in the entrance room does not work, when you arrive in the dark and have no idea where to go (I would not advise anyone to arrive in the dark, the cabin is difficult to find and there are no ligths or signs on site that help direct you) - the house was freezing and damp and we were greeted by spiders and other insects - it did not appear that anyone had been in the house to clean or prepare it recently - the sink in the bathroom is blocked, dirty water always fill up and does not run off for minutes

Response from Jeanette:
Dear Rieke, We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay and would have liked the opportunity to address your issues immediately whilst you were at the cabin. This is something we encourage all our guests to do as stated in the pre-arrival information we supply through Airbnb and the welcome letter provided on arrival. Unfortunately we were not made aware of these issues until over a week after your departure. As you have stated we did reply to you directly on each of your issues we believe honestly and fairly and in doing so highlighted which points we disagree with. An additional point you have added in this review concerns the difficulty you faced on first arrival to our cabin. We provide a detailed location map to all our guests pre-arrival through Airbnb and also advise guests to bring a torch if they expect to arrive after dark. We work hard to maintain our superhost status (which we have held for over a year) and always welcome comments on where we can improve on the facilities and service provided.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin, great facilities and location. It's well equipped with a good kitchen and selection of films, books and games. Comfy beds and large lounge area. It did feel a bit damp when we arrived until we'd had the heating on for a while, after that it was cosy.

We enjoyed a few nights at Jeanette's cabin in the woods during our recent stay in Snowdonia National Park. The village of Corris was a great spot for our adventures around the area including a trip to Mount Snowdon. The cabin itself has a great selection of DVD's and books for those cosy nights in. A trip to Andy and Adam's is a must and the take away pizza from the Slater Arms was great! Thanks for letting us stay in your lovely cabin.

My family and I had a lovely stay at the log cabin. It was very cosy and relaxing. Corris is a quiet and peaceful town and we got to do a bit of exporing (in between rain showers!). Thanks again - would definitely recommend!
