This apartment consists of a romantic king-sized sleeping area, dining area seating 4, comfortable living area, small well-equipped kitchen, large bathroom, plenty of cupboard space. The living area opens onto its patio and the garden. Sleeps 2 adults, sofa bed can accommodate children.
The garden was established 25 years ago, aiming to conserve Lanzarote’s endangered native plants. It is now an oasis for wildlife and a superb space for our guests. It has a sauna and a huge secluded hot tub - greatly appreciated, as desert island evenings can be cool. Beside the lily pond, with its tiny Canarian tree frogs, is one of several seating areas, covered and open. Whether you want to just relax with nature or have a beer and barbecue, you will find a suitable spot. Children love exploring and playing in the garden.
Guests have a private space including their own patio which opens onto the garden. The large garden is shared with us and at most two other guests.
Interaction with guests
We are always happy to provide help and advice about walking routes, beaches, restaurants etc. - but guests can be confident that their privacy will be respected.
Other things to note
We ask all our guests to sign an agreement which makes their visit legal for us with no obligations for them. This is because rules for short-term rental are much stricter in the Canaries than in the rest of Europe.
With over 2000Msq. of garden, much of which is walled and private, guests can be sure of a finding a private spot in the sun or shade.
We ask our guests to be sensible! To be respectful of the property and the privacy of visitors in the other apartment. This is easy because of the size and layout of the garden.
I am English but have lived in the Canaries and in Africa for most of my life. I work in Las Palmas as a science teacher. My wildlife garden in Haria includes a unique collection of Lanzarote's native flora and fauna. My project to restore the cloud forest on the highest peaks of Lanzarote is currently being implemented. I have traveled widely in my life and have found few places as agreeable as Haria.
My dear wife Birgit, who you see in the photo has sadly passed away and is greatly missed. Her thoughtful design and attention to detail is responsible for the apartment being so comfortable. Her high standards of preparation and welcome are carefully maintained.
