Our house is in a quiet neighborhood that's just 2 minutes to the 101 South freeway, if your plans include the Super Bowl. A deck with a fountain provides relaxation, and you can enjoy fresh-picked greens from our greenhouse's rooftop garden.
This entire house is yours in convenient and sunny Bernal Heights.
This tastefully appointed single-family home has an all-amenities kitchen (Viking gas range and hood, dishwasher, washer and dryer, refrigerator), a spacious bedroom with a King-size bed, and a comfortable fold-out sofa that sleeps one adult or two children. There's a deck with fountain and fruit trees and a small greenhouse with a rooftop organic-vegetable garden (you're welcome to some of the veggies!). Street parking is super-easy (really!) A kitchen bar has two stools for counter-top eating, and the dining table seats four comfortably.
The house has two levels separated by eight stairs. The upper level contains the kitchen, combination living/dining area, and bathroom. The lower level has a sitting area, beautiful remote-controlled gas fireplace that keeps the whole house cozy, and the bedroom.
The wi-fi network works in all areas of the house and deck.
Three blocks away is a wonderful cafe at the edge of Precita Park, which has a children's playground. At the other end of the park is the fine-dining restaurant Hillside Supper Club and Harvest Hills Market. A BART station is a mile away, and the freeway entrance to both 80 and 101 is very close. Bernal Hill, which offers amazing views of the city, is a short walk away.
We require a three-night stay during Super Bowl 2016 (Feb. 1-8).
You'll have the whole house to yourself.
Interaction with guests
We'll probably be staying in a house next door, so we'll be available if you need anything during your stay.
We don't allow smoking in the house or noise after 10 p.m. We also would appreciate your removing your shoes while inside the house.
I have lived in San Francisco since 1985, except for four years in New England after I married Tom. I do conflict-resolution work, and my husband is a holistic physician. We love, love, love to garden, cook, and support the local food-growing scene as much as we can. We're super-easygoing and relaxed about life. Between us, we have four grown children. When you're here, we'll probably be staying in the little cottage next door (completely separate houses), so if you have any questions, we're nearby.
