Mostly renovated 100 year old house, still a work in progress, walking distance to the University or downtown. Organic garden. Wood floors, freshly painted, friendly home. Fireplaces outside and in, porch-swing, on the bike trail. Mostly student neighborhood, but it's called the student ghetto so it's not suburbia, and can occasionally be a bit noisy on the weekends sometimes (especially football game days). Two bedrooms available.

This is the second time that I stayed here. As was expected, the hospitality was great (especially Chloe the dog) There were some AC problems that I honestly would not have known about if not told. The neighbors were a little loud a times, but it was graduation weekend and it did…

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a month, and Lee couldn't have been a better host. He gave us our own fridge space, pantry space, a washer and dryer to use, and more. The neighborhood is minutes away from everything you'll need. He's very knowledgeable and gave great recommen…

Lee and his girlfriend provide a warm and inviting atmosphere in this charming home. The hosts could not have been friendlier or more helpful in assisting in my orientation of to where to go and how to get around Gainesville. The room itself was clean, comfortable and quiet. The…

The reviews I checked out before choosing the place made it sound like a wonderland but it really was not even close to my expectations. I wish they would have been nice to begin with instead of the very last day. Only good part of the house is the dog Chloe who is a sweetheart a…

Response from Lee:
It is true that it was uncomfortable. You both never said hello, or good morning or anything to us. To be perfectly honest I was happy when you left. I assumed you were having personal issues and that was why you never said anything to us. I am used to conversing and did try to talk with you both and thought that I made some contact but the next days you both ignored us... it's difficult to be friendly to rude unfriendly people. I assumed you didn't want to talk to me so I left you alone.

Lee's place is in a great location, a quick walk from downtown, and pretty central for most places in town. The house is really fun and full of character. I felt very comfortable and Lee can make a great cup of coffee as well as offer interesting conversation.

Relatively quiet and enjoy good conversation with a sense of humor. I had been traveling for the past 30 years or so, but I'm trying to be a reformed traveler. 10 years on my sailboat between Maine and South America, then 15 years as a photojournalist in Eastern Europe and a fe…
