Come stay at our 2 bedroom/2 bathroom in the Albufeira Marina. One bedroom has a double bed with attached bathroom, and the other has 2 single beds. There is also a sleeper sofa that can be made up for additional guests-- it sleeps 1-2 individuals (approximately 125cm wide, so not suited for 2 adults unless you really like each other). You'll have incredible views of the harbor, ocean and pool down below, be steps from entertainment in the marina and a scenic 20 min walk to Old Town Albufeira.

The space

You'll have plenty of room to relax in this spacious, newly refurnished apartment. There is parking on site if you'll be coming by car, but once you're here, you have a selection of restaurants and bars right in the marina, and downtown Albufeira and the accompanying beaches are a walk short walk away as well.

Guest access

The whole apartment and all three balconies are yours to enjoy. The pool is a few floors just below-- get out there early to ensure you claim one of the few lounge chairs! Ample parking is available in a garage on site, or you can park on the street out front if you prefer. There is an elevator from the garage and street levels to the unit for easy access, even by wheelchair or with a stroller.

Interaction with guests

We are not local to Albufeira, however we have amazing help managing our property. They will be your primary contacts for questions or issues leading up to or during your stay. That being said, we warmly welcome any feedback or questions you have for us as well, and will do our best to accommodate requests.

Other things to note

We are based in the US, so unfortunately we will not be able to personally welcome you upon your arrival. We work with an excellent local management company, Cerro Novo. They will make sure your arrival is easy and your stay is comfortable. Where you get the keys to the apartment will depend on how and when you arrive to Albufeira.

Booking a car transfer from Faro Airport:
If you are arriving to the Faro airport and wish to book a car transfer through our management company, please let us know at the time of your AirBnB reservation and provide your flight information. We can add the cost for the transfer to your AirBnB booking OR you can pay the driver in cash upon pick-up. The driver will greet you at the airport, and will have the keys with him/her so that you can just let yourself in to the apartment once you are dropped off.

Car Transfer Pricing:

5-8 Passengers - 50 Euros.

Any other times:
1-4 Passengers - 42 Euros.
5-8 Passengers - 60 Euros.

Arriving with own transportation:
If you do not book an airport transfer and arrive to the apartment with your own transportation, there are a couple options. Most people who arrive during business hours (listed below), choose to pick up the keys from the Cerro Novo office which is just 3 minutes away by car, or a 10-15 minute walk from the apartment. For a small fee, you can choose to have a representative meet you at the apartment with the keys instead. If you arrive outside of business hours, you need to select the car transfer option above, or pay a convenience fee for a representative to meet you at the apartment. Business hours and the corresponding rates are listed below. Again, if you require or prefer a meet and greet, please let us know so we can add the cost to your AirBnB booking OR have cash on hand to pay the representative.

Cerro Novo Business Hours are Monday – Saturday from 9:00 – 18:00.

Basic Food Pack
If you would like, Cerro Novo can provide a basic food pack in the apartment prior to your arrival. The cost of the pack is 15 Euros, and it includes water, tea, milk, sugar, orange juice, bread, butter, and cheese. It is only intended to get you through your first night or your first breakfast, but it is a great option for guests arriving late at night who do not want to wake up to an empty fridge. If you arrive in the afternoon, there is a small store just across the street where you can buy basic supplies. There is also a larger grocery store just next to the Cerro Novo office. Lidl is 5 minutes away by car, and ideal for bigger grocery shopping trips—very cost effective and good selection. If you would like to add on the food pack, you must let us know at the time of booking.

There is a €75 cleaning fee for all bookings. Stays of 8 days or more include once-weekly maid service at no additional cost. The weekly cleaning service is not optional, as this ensures linens/towels and the unit stay fresh and clean for you and future renters.

Up to 4 guests are included in listed price. A 5th guest is possible for an additional €15 per night, as an extra bed needs to be brought in for this. Please advise if this is needed in advance.

Check in times vary, depending on if there is someone staying in the apartment the night prior to your arrival. We recommend check in some time between 2-5pm, but can discuss arrangements on a case by case basis. Check out time is anytime prior to 11am.

If the management company needs to meet you outside of office hours or provide an airport transfer, additional fees may apply, but will be explained to you in advance.

This apartment is in a great location with beautiful marina views and lots of restaurants nearby. It is a slightly quieter area but still walking distance from Albufeira old town. The apartment was clean and spacious. The pool area was lovely, although busy at times and there were not enough sun beds (many of which were broken). It was possible to walk to the restaurants on the marina within minutes and old town within 15-20 minutes. We also took an uber to explore the beautiful nearby beaches, although there is a beach within walking distance too. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this apartment.

Loved staying in this apartment, the views of the marina are amazing. Check in was super easy and the management company were very helpful. They even arranged transfers for us to and from the airport. The apartment had everything we needed for our stay. Cleaners came in during the week and refreshed our towels and emptied the bins. There is no safe in the apartment but it feels very safe, as you need 3 different keys to get in. There was only 8 sun loungers by the pool but we always managed to get one. Some of the sun loungers are a bit broken though and could do with being replaced. The old town is about a 20 min walk away. There is a bus stop not far away either or there is a taxi rank over the road. There is also a small shop over from the apartment which stocked most essentials. Would definitely recommend this apartment and would love to come back one day.

I will start from the issues we encountered. The apartment is looked after by an agency therefore most of arranging was done through them making the experience quite impersonal. The directions and address of the property wasn't clearly stated on airbnb website (if we didn't ask the agency we would only know the road on which the apartment was located). In regards to check in the agency told us that the keys will be left in the cash office. They only told us that we'll easily spots the cash office. It turned out that the cash office was a security office in the car park (and the car park was huge - 2 levels and underground making it very difficult to find the office). I called the agency 3 times asking about where the security office is but they weren't helpful at all saying that they don't know where we are so they can advise how to get there. They were not even able to tell us which floor the office was on. When we managed to find the office the directions to where the cash office was were in the envelope. This made for an extremely frustrating check-in. How does it make sense to provide directions to a location, once you are already in that location? On our second day a handyman came to our apartment to fix a leak. Unfortunately the agency didn't tell us anything about it. There were two safes in the flat. Unfortunately neither of them was working so you couldn't safely leave anything in the flat. Next to the swimming pool there was only 6 sun beds for 2 buildings worth of apartments. They were getting full very quickly. It would be better if the apartment had their own sun beds. On the other hand the apartment was nice, clean, very spacious, close to bars and restaurants. Evelina - in contrast to the agency - was very approachable and very helpful, quickly responding to our queries. The stroll to the old town and the beach was about 20 minutes. We'd definitely recommend renting it overall, just don't check-in on a Sunday when they use this cash office.

Beautiful spacious apartment which lives up to the photos. The marina is very quiet with very little atmosphere so you will need to walk 20 mins or get taxis to get to where there are people and atmosphere. My advice is to hire a scooter or car and explore the local area l, the beaches ate close by and stunning. Worth visiting Villamoura marina which is more what you expect from a marina, lively atmosphere, bars, restaurants. Albufeira marina is new, and there was only a handful of people around so you need to explore out a little. The apartment was spotless, comfy bed, nice candles provdided so you can make it really cosy. They don't provide ANY basic food or drink lime water or butter or bread or coffee so make sure you bring some water at least if you arrive at night, the local mini market closes at 7.30. Worst thing about the experience is that's Richard & Evelina who are smiling in the photo have delegated the "hosting" to a faceless management company who, whilst they keep the apartment clean, where unable to help in some basic customer service requests. Overall the apartment is lovely and Albufeira is spectacular. Get a bike, scooter or car to enjoy it properly.

We have lived and traveled all over the world and are happy to help others do the same by sharing our space with them! We have collectively lived in Sweden, India, Germany, New York, Florida, Chicago, Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, and so on. We have also done quite a bit of traveling around those areas, as well as in South America.

We absolutely love eating, drinking, entertaining, and exploring. Our dream is to one day be in the hospitality industry, but for now, this is just a fun little side project for us.
