The space

Set on a beautiful 30 acres in the edge of the Yarra Valley Avoca Parks bunkhouse is stylishly decorated. It has 2 bedrooms sleeping 10 people in total, one bedroom has 2 single beds and the other 4 bunks sleeping 8 people. There is a communal bathroom with a door off each bedroom.

It hosts a fully equipped kitchen suitable to cook anything up to and including a Christmas dinner. The lounge area has a 42" flat screen TV, DVD player and stereo. Surrounded by beautiful Paulownia trees the bunkhouse is well protected from the sun in summer, for the cooler months the heating accommodates very well.

There is an under cover out door sitting area with BBQ and heater. Also being a horse facility there is the opportunity to have a riding lesson or two on our wonderful school horse Scarlet.

Our local town Emerald is a 10min drive and has many lovely cafes and restaurants and well as home to historical steam train Puffing Billy which still runs daily. Locally we have rail trails for bike riding and National Parks for walkers. Being part of the Yarra Valley wine region you could spend hours or days driving around this beautiful district.

Stunning grounds and a charming stopover for our family with everything we needed to hand. Wonderful to wake up to the sounds of nature and a walk to say hello to the horses and a chatty cockatoo.

Leanne was very welcoming and friendly when we arrived as she directed us to the accommodation. The property is called the "bunk house" so it was exactly as we were expecting. It was quite cold when we arrived and Leanne promptly attended to one of the heaters which wasn't working. The property is on a popular equestrian centre and our grandson was fascinated with all the horses and fell in love with Leanne's two dogs and the talking parakeet

A bit out of the way, and I arrived at night and left in early morning so I can't really describe the property. But the bunk house was clean and set up for when we arrived, Leanne was very responsive to my messages which was also good. Would like to come back and do a bit more exploring as the property was massive and looked nice!

Another beautiful stay on Leanne's horse farm! I love roaming the property and greeting the horses in the morning. Leanne was flexible for me to extend at the last minute as I had some troubles with my car. Staff on site are also helpful on friendly. Thanks and see you next time!

I have been married to my husband John since 1993... We bought our property in 1991 as vacant land and have spent the time since then developing it into our dream.

We spend all our time with our horses and breaking that up with time with good friends and some travel.

Live Well, Love Much, Laugh Often!!
