Matthieu is wonderful and did so much to help us feel welcome. The place is delightfully peaceful, apart from the occasional animal noises (which we love), but this comes with the price of being a little difficult to access. We managed to climb the dirt road in a small car, but it wasn't easy, particularly when arriving after dark. Thankfully, Matthieu was always ready and willing to help out, and after some rainfall we were glad of his skill to manage the steeper sections. We loved the fresh and original cuisine and we think Matthieu and his partner are very talented chefs. In particular his pastel de papas and his vegetarian lasagne were exceptional! You could perhaps save money by bringing your own food, (Olmue and surrounding areas have great produce) but there isn't a kitchen in the dome, and besides, it's pretty special to have their dishes brought to you. As it was not too dry when we were there, we were able to buy some local firewood and make a bonfire, and it was a spectacular spot to enjoy the flames and food and the starry night all at once. The dome is spacious and the views are charming. If you want somewhere near the big cities of Valparaíso or Santiago but totally out in the countryside, and don't want to travel too far then this is hard to beat. Matthieu is generous and thoughtful and made out stay really smooth, and we are glad to recommend his little outpost to anyone.

I can highly recommend Mateo's place, it is perfect for a get away from the stressful city; calm, beautiful surroundings for walks and overall very comfortable stay. Contrary to many other reviews, I was not at all cold in the dome even though we had one rainy and cold day. The place is close to Santiago and easy to get to with public transport, which is a big plus here in Chile. I chose the dinner and breakfast service and it was so good, actually I didn't eat the food I brought with me because Mateo's food was amazing and abundant! Definitely worth a visit!

We loved our stay at the geodome. An amazing experience made all the more special by Mateo and his family's hospitality. The dinner and breakfast were delicious! We stayed for one night after visiting Valparaiso and stopped off at Concon dunes on the way which were about an hour or so drive away. It did get cold on a night, so be sure to wrap up warm. Perfect for countryside walks, star gazing and getting away from it all.

Loved it! The dome was cozy and fun and dinner was delicious. Mateo was very friendly and easy to work with. The location took some effort to get to, but it was definitely worth it.

A very unique experience. Mateo and his family were great hosts - they accommodated our group, gave great directions on how to arrive, met us to help us settle in and greeted us with an awesome breakfast the next morning. The dome itself is really cool. It's like camping without having to pitch a tent and with an outhouse all set up (complete with shower!). There's a heater, but it can still get a little chilly in winter (late Aug for us). Should be amazing for stargazing but was unfortunately cloudy the night we were there. A couple things to know: The last few kilometers of the road are dirt. Sedans can handle, but Mateo helped us drive the last bit up his driveway (hilly and curvy). 4WD would make it easier for sure. Also, Mateo's dog is very friendly and loved to give hugs. Overall the most unique Airbnb we've ever stayed in!

Staying at the geodome has been the most amazing Airbnb experience I have had so far. I was only there for one night, and I could've stayed for much longer. After spending a few days traveling around bigger cities, being in the quiet of the mountains was so wonderful, especially with a host as welcoming and friendly as Mateo and his family. The geodome itself is so cool and unique- straight out of a dream. We opted into Mateo's dinner and breakfast services, and the meals were delicious, healthy, and 5-star. Definitely recommend. It was winter when I was there, so it does get pretty cold at night. I'd recommend warm clothes to sleep in, though the bed is very warm and piled with blankets and comforters. Finding the yellow cab/shared taxi service in Limache isn't too difficult. Once you get off of the train, just walk straight ahead down the road until you are at the intersection with two Cruz Verde pharmacies on both the left and right sides of the street. The shared taxi will pull up to a bus stop to the right- near the Cruz Verde on the right of the street. It should cost 1000 pesos per person to ride to El Venado where Mateo will meet you. Sounds more overwhelming than it actually is. Overall, 150% recommend staying at the geodome. Once in a lifetime experience!
