We are on 18 acres with a private airstrip, a forest and a creek. We are located in Western Washington a few miles west of Lynden, 16 miles to the Bellingham airport and 5 miles to the Canadian border.

The space

We offer two bedrooms named after our airplanes, the Tiger Moth Room and the Piper Cub Room. The rooms are located on the second story of the house with a common loft area between them. Both bedrooms are 250 square feet and have a private full bath, T.V with Netflix, sitting area and mini refrigerator. The Tiger Moth room has a king sized bed with views of the forest and raspberry fields. The bathroom has a claw foot slipper tub and radiant floor heating. The Piper Cub Room has a queen sized bed and has views of the hangar and our blueberry field.

Guest access

Guests enter through the main entrance front door and have access to the loft area upstairs. The loft has views of a potato field, a forest, the airstrip and beautiful sunsets. There is a T.V. with cable and a DVD player.

Interaction with guests

We enjoy interaction with our guests but will respect your privacy if you prefer. We are available to recommend restaurants and area attractions.

This was my second stay in two weeks. I can't say enough wonderful things about the home, my suite, my bed, and Cathi-Ann and Rick. This the most beautiful location, it's like being in a log house in a National Park. Love the place, hosts, cats and Charlotte the dog. Highly recommend.

Absolutely incredible place. It is quite and secluded, but is a short drive to major stores you may need and the Canadian border. Cathie-Ann and her husband were so hospitable and gave us a tour of their property and provided us with whatever we needed when asked. They are both so kind and a joy to be around. I would highly recommend staying here!

All I can say is that I've been so blessed to have two wonderful wonderful Airbnb experiences. Cathi Ann and Rick are two of the nicest most genuine people you'll ever meet. Their home is in a rural area not far from town but you feel like you're a Million Miles Away. I had a very comfortable bed, a very clean room, a wonderful bathroom with a clawfoot bathtub and bubble bath. I picked and ate lots of fresh blueberries. It was great for me to unwind after a long day of work. Hope to stay again very soon.

On my West Coast motorcycle trip, Mr. Rick and his wife Mrs. Cathie-Ann's allowed me to stay in their home via Airbnb. I have no words to express how GRATEFUL I am for their hospitality towards me. I only stayed one night but I wish to return with my family later and stay even longer. Their home is strategically designed for relaxation and you feel very welcomed there. Their yard is arranged in a way you could walk the trails both early morning and evening. Also their farm produced every type of berry you can imagine. If one of you is considering traveling through Washington, don't miss out on this opportunity. It is an unforgettable experience with natural beauty. Mr. Rick and Mrs. Cathie-Ann's are two kind, hospitable, and generous people. I'm very grateful to them for allowing me to spend a night in this piece of heaven. You won't regret staying in their home. Daniel Quintero

Both my husband and I love the outdoors and spend a lot of time working on our property. I grow most of our vegetables and what I don't grow I buy at the local Bellingham Farmers Market. I believe growing organic and supporting our local farmers. I also grow blueberries, strawberries and goji berries. I love flowers especially dahlia's, I have supplied flower arrangements at weddings. I collect fresh eggs every morning, my chickens are fed organic and are free range during the day.
My husband is a retired 737 Captain and a private pilot. He is a certified flight instructor and also offers scenic flights and tail wheel instruction. We enjoy evening flights or a drive to the beach to watch the sunset after a day of work.
