This breach front condo is located on the best portion of the North Baja. It is only a 40 minute drive south from the San Diego International Border. The secure marina community is called La Salina (Puerto Salina).

There are many fun attractions such as swimming, beach walking, surfing, horse back riding, wine tours, excellent restaurants (5 miles north and 20 miles south in Ensenada), ultralight flying activity, kayaks, snorkeling, fishing and much more.

Please read the testimonials.

The space

Unlike most rental properties located in the same vicinity, our home is located just 50' from a private white sandy beach. The marina community is very safe and has 24/7 security. The 1600 square foot condominium has marble floors, granite counter tops and modern appliances. There is free wifi and free satellite TV. The view from the living room and patio of the pacific ocean is magnificent!

It is important that you do not loose either of your access keys. They plastic key to the glass door costs $100 to replace and the metal key to the front door costs $25 to replace. Lost keys will be deducted from your security deposit.

Why settle for second best. You deserve a unique, quiet location that lets you enjoy a sweeping view of the ocean, beach and marina. I hope this location and view will bring you back again and again!

PS, if you have a party larger than 7, I most likely can accommodate your large groups needs. I am a property manager for 3 other identical units above mine. All are professionally decorated and have the same ocean view as mine. For overflow (larger parties) , they are a perfect solution. They sleep a maximum of 7 people each. Please ask me for availability if my unit is not available for your dates.

My unit has a maximum occupancy of 8 people. This includes infants. If more than 8 show up access will be denied. Sorry but the Home Owners Association HOA enforces this rule.

Pasar bien!

Guest access

Guest have access to swimming in the ocean and pool, walking the beach, world class oceanfront golf (5 minute drive to the south) at Baja Mar, Guadalupe wine country (20 minute drive to the east), nightlife and great restaurants south in the city of Ensenada. Don't forget to go to my favorite restaurant named La Fonda just 5 minutes to the north. The margaritas are strong and the live music and dancing on the weekends can't be beat. Try to arrive in time to enjoy the sunset as you sit overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Do an internet search for La Fonda restaurant in Baja for more information.

Interaction with guests

I will do my best to welcome you to the property at the time you arrive. Or, my property manager Ana will welcome you. We will give you recommendations of things you should do to make your vacation the best it can be. Ana can be reached by text or phone at this number: +(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) or from Mexico try (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) . She typically will greet you in the parking lot if you notify her ahead of time your estimated time of arrival. Please be accurate. Otherwise, she may not be there. Often, she can be found next door where she works and lives.

Other things to note

Always ask about last minute special rental rates. I will do my best to accommodate your request.

Recently I had a prospective renter mention my rates were similar if not a bit higher to many of the hotels in Ensenada. I replied to him with this comment: "You really can't compare this to a hotel in Ensenada. This is much more private, has a full kitchen, is right on the beach, has complete security in a private community. If you are seeing similar prices with Ensenada hotels, you are getting double if not more value at my place. The scenic and lightly traveled road south to Ensenada takes 30 minutes. Come on down and get the best value around!

Casey's apartment is a beautiful location right on the water! It was a little quieter than we had expected, but we enjoyed having the area to ourselves. Casey was very attentive and resolved issues for us immediately which was greatly appreciated! The one downside is the location if you want to Uber on a whim or walk places - there is only one bar/restaurant within walking distance. Uber was not available, and though Ana was extremely helpful setting up taxi's as we needed them, it was different not having Uber available and also the concern of not getting ahold of Ana if we needed one. The view however was breathtaking and if you are looking for a spot to relax, enjoy the beach and water, this apartment was perfect!

This is the perfect getaway if you want to be away from all the business of Ensenada and Rosarito. The home is lovely and has everything you will need for your stay. We didn't take advantage of the pool because weather didn't permit, plus we are use to 120 degree weather so anything in the 70's is too chilly for us. We took morning walks on the beach and just hung out between us friends.. I will definitely be staying here again with warmer weather. We hung out in the living room all weekend with the door open and the breeze oni had in and it was just perfect. Thank you Casey for sharing your home.

The condo: Beautifully decorated, direct access to the beach, pool is nice if a bit on the chilly side (the kids didn't mind), quiet, not crowded, was very clean as were the grounds but the hot tub is not working and has no water in it. Check-In: Our experience was poor because we did not buy an international data-plan, print ALL of the directions, and understand that the condo does not actually HAVE an address. Do NOT attempt to use (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps to find the address given in the listing because it's not an actual address and (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) gets confused. You can (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) "Puerto Salina" and that will get you within 1-2 miles of the condo. You then have to decide which of the 2 high rise condos is this listing. That's not difficult because this condo is the one on the beach where the other condo is in the Marina by the boats. The security guard did not know who Casey was and Casey was completely unavailable during our check in time so we spent 40 minutes negotiating our way through security assuring the guard that the condo on the beach must be our destination. Once at the property, the manager was out talking to others so we found him and paid the $5 for wrist bands and unlocked the achievement of entering the building. So finding the place and getting through security were the hardest parts. Everything else about our stay was very nice, though I really was looking forward to the hot tub. Local attractions and getting around: In the same area as the condo "the cantina" had very good food and really nice people. There was a pool table, shuffleboard, and looked as though they had live music sometimes. This is walk-able in about 10-15 minutes. I'd say worth going. La Fonda: about 10 minutes drive north Is just a few miles north and has a cool hotel/restaurant with an incredible view of the sunset. The Solo Guitarist "Miguel De Hoyes" was playing and he literally blew my mind as I stood there realizing I'll never be as good at anything as this guy is at guitar. If you take this trip, look him up and do not miss him. We used a taxi to get back to the condo an that cost about $11. Wine country: about 1 hours drive We went to 5 wineries and each had no more than 5 wines to sample. I come from wine country in California and I would say the wines are ok but not amazing and the tasting fees are on the high side of $10-$12 for 4 tastes. The tasting rooms are very nice though and we tasted in a couple caves which was great. Probably worth going but if you are a wine snob I think you'll find a hard wine to really like. Overall we had a great trip and will plan more trips to that area though if I book this location again...

Response from Casey:
This review needs to be addressed because some of it is inaccurate. 1. In regards to the hot tub, William stated, "the hot tub is not working and has no water in it." is true. However, if William had read the "Amenities" section of the ad he would have seen the amenities that are included with the property. The pool is an amenity the guest have access to. The "hot tub" is not stated as an amenity. In fact, I believe it is shown as crossed out. No where do I mention a working hot tub. In the past, I once asked ARBNB if my ad was written properly. They said it was. 2. In regards to communication. When traveling in a foreign country it is important to have a working data plan. If William had this, communication would have been easily accomplished. William states, "Casey was completely unavailable during our check in time so we spent 40 minutes negotiating our way through security assuring the guard that the condo on the beach must be our destination.". I had sent William multiple messages prior to his arrival that would have helped him arrive with little to no difficulty. However, his admitted lack of internet / data plan and his lack of printing out the directions kept him from receiving my help. He was the one that was actually "completely unavailable". 3. In regards to directions, all my past guest of 60 or more have not had difficulties finding my home. This is because they came prepared. They printed or had internet access to the precise directions that are included in my ARBNB ad. Anyone without directions with them will have a hard time to find any home rented on AIRBNB. I am glad AIRBNB has this rebuttal feature. I try hard to provide a great place with great service. I did my best with this renter.

Overall my experience at Casey's was so much fun! I was able to walk straight out into the pool area and the beach through the backyard. The view was amazing. The only thing that I wish I knew more about was to make sure to take my own food, water, etc because the nearest grocery store was a bit of a distance away. Although I thought everything about Casey's home was beautiful, some of my family complained about dirty linen. Regardless, I'd definitely love to stay again! Casey was kind and had great communication with me.

EXCELLENT! We didn't want to leave. My husband, parents, teenage son, and I stayed here for a nice long summer vacation. Some additional family members joined us for several days as well. The house is spotless and well equipped. The beds are very comfortable and clean. Nice, clean bathrooms/showers. We found most everything we needed in the kitchen. There was no grill outside, but we were able to pick up a cheapie at Walmart, so not a big deal. Being on the first floor is a plus... walk right out the patio doors for a swim in the pool or a for a long walk on the gorgeous sandy beach. There is also a great private beach area with palapas where we played badminton, volleyball (we brought our own net) and bocce ball. Ana, the property manager, was very responsive the couple of times we needed assistance. The location was ideal for us and exactly what we wanted... quiet and a bit remote, but an easy short drive to anything you want or need.

Great location, great view, no working hot tub and just read the fine print.

Response from Casey:
The AIRBNB ad is written so that it clearly states what my home offers. For the record, there is no working outdoor hot tub / spa. In the photo gallery, there are pictures of the pool area just outside my sliding glass door. The photos show the primary pool and a child's pool connected to it. The child's pool is round and approximately 1 foot deep. Sorry If you were confused. I had a staff person at AIRBNB review my ad in the past. They felt it was properly written and not misleading.
