My quiet and private home is clean and a happy place. You will be sharing my home with me or my daughter (we have a cabin in the mountains and both go back and forth) our three dogs and twelve laying hens! Fully renovated 1000 square foot cottage, in a lovely and quiet country setting. Five fenced grass pasture acres!

The space

Need a place to stay-over on a long trip? Here in Aiken/Augusta on business? Consider my place. I am 20 mins from I-20 and very close to Hwy 278. I recently did a cross-country drive and stayed at AirBnBs the whole way. This is a great place to re-charge your batteries.
I have a guest bedroom for one or two person.
AND I have SAFE, fenced bermuda pasture for your horse.
Share a bathroom and kitchen with me in a 1,000 square foot and neat, CLEAN cottage 12 miles south of lovely, horse country, Aiken, SC.
I am retired and am quiet and busy taking care of the farm, so you would have quiet and privacy. I am a beekeeper, too!
I have three dogs and you could bring one well-behaved dog.
There is unlimited hot water for showers, but water pressure is a bit weak. There is plenty of water, but may be less pressure than what you are accustomed to.
$15 per horse per day.
I have a nice gated run-in shed and small shed for storing hay/grain. I have outside hot water for bathing your horse.
There is a wonderful front porch with rocking chairs and a patio out back with outdoor seating and a gas grill for chilling and grilling.

Guest access

Other than the other bedroom, you are welcome in the whole house and everything outside.

Interaction with guests

I have a full life. We will see each other, but you can have a lot of quiet time. Quiet time is also very important to me!

Other things to note

I have bee hives! The bees keep to themselves but I do want you to know that they are here!

I have a hot tub! I love it!

I was lucky enough to stay in Aiken for an entire month. I can't say enough positive things about Anne's hospitality and how much I enjoyed her lovely home. She was always so warm, friendly, and helpful, and always made me feel welcome. Her house was great, the farm peaceful and charming, and while it was tucked out of the way of hustle and bustle, it was very easy to get to all the places in Aiken I needed to go. Thank-you, Anne! Looking forward to coming back next year ..

Anne could not be a more phenomenal person. She made sure there was a place for my elderly mother who was having to evacuate. Her communication was incredible. She truly went more than the extra mile. What a blessing.

Thanks, DeeDee! Having evacuated from many a hurricane myself, I was so happy to be able to help! Love AirBnB for just this sort of thing!!!!

My stay at Anne’s could not have been nicer. She is friendly, easy-going, and very willing to accommodate her guests in terms of whatever hours they need to keep. She made me feel right at home from the beginning. My room in her house was just right, with a comfortable bed, dresser and closet for my clothes. She has been good about checking in with me to see if there were any other things I needed. The washer and dryer is super convenient and I loved interacting with her sweet pets, which include Woody the dachshund as well as her chickens and three horses. The hot tub looks nice although it was definitely too warm to enjoy it now, since it is summer. She even took me to dinner at a nice local place! The area where she lives is very peaceful, rural, and pretty but still convenient to town. I would highly recommend a stay here with her for other Airbnb guests!

Anne could not have been a better hostess. Her farm is beautiful and has plenty of walking trails to hike on. It's a great place to relax in the country after a long day of work! Easy commute to both Augusta and Aiken.

Anne's home is delightful and peaceful to say the least. Surrounded by horse pastures and her lovely chestnut and gray horses, you couldn't find a better antidote to a busy day at the Augusta Conference Center if you are in town on business. And: the Center is a straight shot and only three turns from Anne's place, passing through the Augusta historic homes — lovely. A VERY quick, easy commute. I was able to take a really nice trail run and that was a joy! Anne herself is as accommodating and helpful and warm as a hostess could possibly be. She's instantly likeable and you will adore her and find that you're much more comfortable in a new city as a result of her hospitality!

I am a forester by education and profession, now retired. I am a beekeeper, I volunteer with a local land conservancy, still assist with prescribed burning, and I ride my horses. I am the proud mother of two wonderful adult children. I have wonderful friends here in Aiken and in Brevard.
I love my little farm in Aiken and mountain escape in Cedar Mountain and look forward to sharing with you!
