In Leucadia our mantra is "Keep Leucadia Funky" and this apartment is just that! This is the perfect beach get-a-way for couples, solo travelers, great friends, or your small family!

Steps to the beach! Close to Leucadia restaurants, bars, shops, and Downtown Encinitas.

The space

My home is very close to the beach, just a 10 minute walk across the tracks and down the hill. Please note that I said, "across the tracks". Please see below under "Other things to note" for more information about the train and noise.

I'm located on the northern end of Leucadia, which means I'm just out of reach to walk to all of the hot spots of Leucadia (unless you don't mind a 20-30 minute walk). But that being said, I'm a $4.00 Lyft ride to any restaurant or bar in Leucadia on the 101.

Just a tad more south (3 miles) is downtown Encinitas. A much more condensed beach town with several blocks of shops, restaurants, bars, and of course surf.

Just a few miles north is Carlsbad with its own downtown similar to Encinitas but with a different vibe.

Guest access

You will have access to my entire apartment and it's private patio along with the building's front garden, breezeway, and laundry room. My apartment is also wheelchair accessible. One assigned parking space is available and additional safe parking can easily be found on the street.

Interaction with guests

I will be available on the phone at any time and a family member for backup. When you arrive I will have it arranged so that you will be able to let yourself into the apartment without any personal assistance or hassle.

Other things to note

Please note that a cat does live here with me when guests are not staying. I do my best to completely clean all presence of my cat's existence, however if you are extremely allergic then this may be problematic.

I am just across the street from a submerged train track and the train runs roughly once an hour from 6am to 6pm and then a few more times till the final train at around 1am. It generally does not honk unless things are on the track which is difficult for me to give an accurate guess at how often it honks. Its easy to get used to - even my mother agrees who is a very light sleeper.

Unfortunately there is some new construction next door (new homes being built), thankfully they don't make noise consistently throughout their work days (Mon-Fri 9-5). All evenings and weekends are noise free.

We had a fantastic time staying at Meg's apartment. After a long drive it was amazing to be able to hop out of the car and be just a short walk from the beach. The location was amazing and perfect for all the places we planned to visit. Meg has very thoughtfully provided a lot of useful information about what to see and eat and Leucadia and her reviews were spot on. Thanks to her recomendations we spent our long weekend eating delicious food all within a few minutes from her place. She has everything you could need for a trip to the beach and we felt right at home. We had everything we needed and then some. We can't wait to come back to this sweet town and will definitely being staying here again.

The apartment is in a great location in north Encinitas close to the 3 greatest local coffee shops. Freeway is nearby. The local produce stand on LaCosta Ave is one of the bests. The apartment is great for those of us who have (URL HIDDEN) carpeting. This was a great plus. The kitchen is truly functioning kitchen. Loved her garden area.

Meg's quiet but cute apartment was perfect for our stay in Leucadia/Encinitas. It only took about 3 minutes to get into downtown, where all the shops and restaurants are located. The apartment is well equipped with everything you would need. Upon entering the place we noticed a mini booklet written by the host which described the apartment and it's features as well as helpful ideas of what to do in town. It was a lot of fun staying here, I would recommend it!

Meg was a great host. She sent me all the details that I needed in advance, and the place was exactly as described. It was a perfect place for me to stay while attending a local conference. I would highly recommend staying here. Everything went smoothly, and I couldn't imagine a more seamless experience.

This is one of my favorite AirBnb rentals yet. It's homey without it feeling like I've intruded on someone's personal stuff - it's quirky but super-functional and clean. It's quiet, the outdoor space is wonderful in the morning, and the closeness to the beach, Encinitas, and the rest of the area is real convenient. I worked, cooked, slept well, and got out and about as needed. Meg was always available and friendly.

I'm an artist and grad student at Loyola Marymount University going for my masters in Art Therapy! I'm renting out my funky home while living up in LA for the next two years as a struggling student. I grew up in Encinitas and know everything there is to do in North County San Die…
